When Crimson Jack told the kids to get some sleep, and was walking around then told the young girl to get some rest, that was done to show that he cares for the kid's well-being. I think the biggest clue to the mystery At-Attin is SM33. Peter Pan takes a lot from the Treasure Island books. At-Attin is the treasure island AND Never-Never-Land, it doesn't grow up, the great work is from the Old Republic, the planet missed out on all of the prequel and original histories and I don't think that it's going to touch on Palpatine's return. The Mando verse/Fillioni's franchises i.e. Ashoka(Rebels) is handling the return of Palpatine and Skeleton Crew is a single story that will uncover its own mystery. The show is directed at children (13 and under) and we older fans are along for the ride. The show won't touch on a larger plot lines from the last 15 years like Palps return because it would go over the primary audiences (children) heads because there's too much history to digest that they weren't around for unlike us older fans. It will have a self contained story whenever the show finishes.
@NicholasKoeppelАй бұрын
SM33 does share some similarities to Sith Introductions in past Star Wars stories, It’s possible a “Peter Pan” like character found At-Attin, and used the treasure plant riches to finance the rise of the rebellion… Capt’n Jack might be a sqaulawage Jedi that got booted from the academy, and now 1st mate Smittee; will make contact with his captain “hand object”, to re-engage their quest for treasure (at-attin), a narrow escape will ensue… leading the kids to a happy return to their rebellion helping parents by Capt’n Jack, and Jack receiving the Black Pearl(or whatever they end up calling the ship the kids found) for his efforts, with the ability to use the planet as a hide out as long as he never tells where it is… (with the captain “hand object”{most likely that other captain guy from that other Star Wars TV show}, in the end credits, shown getting the coordinates to at-attain; for a season 2 setup)… Maybe we’ll even get an Asoka tie in, that explains how she was financed to help rebuild the republic, as a certain kid is taken to Luke Skywalker to be trained, and Jack gets an offer to visit him while he trains…. There were talks this might replace pirates of the Caribbean at the parks; as a cheaper way to repurpose an old ride, while also launching a kid friendly entry into the disney-verse… This would heavily unify Pirates/peter-pan/star-wars into a single property… with park tie-ins to “star-wars” and update numerous rides in the future… As a bonus note* it would be really cool if Jack Black and Lizzo some how got thrown into the mix of all this as well!!!
@rhammond71Ай бұрын
And I like how the show even addresses this to the (viewing) audience through the character Kh'ymm when she says, "Missed the war, did you?" That's letting the audience off the hook and not making the prequel or original trilogy "required viewing"
@benjaminjenkins394Ай бұрын
I appreciate a like some of parts of the new shows but as a whole they’ve all been all over the place with pacing, narrative, and characters. With that being said Andor, Skelton Crew, and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian have been the best Star Wars that we’ve gotten and I would rank them as such. The Skelton Crew just gets it and I think this is how the universe should feel just like this!

Guys, palpatine was a youth in plagueis, learning to be a mastermind by his master. Being a mastermind before the prequels will break lore, which is respected this time. Along that line, it could be argued that: The boy is Jim Hawkins. The owl is Dr. Livesey. The elephant is Squire Trelawny. The captain is Captain Smollett. The robot is Ben Gunn. Just looking at the wikipedia page, I also noticed the following minor character: Mr. Dance: Chief revenue officer (titled *Supervisor*) who ascends with his men upon the Admiral Benbow, driving out the pirates, and saving Jim Hawkins and his mother. He then takes Hawkins to see the squire and the doctor. They certainly aren't following the plot of the novel to the letter, so I'm not sure what, if anything, it means, but it's something to keep in mind.

Have a feeling Crimson Jack was a Padawan who lost his master or escaped during order 66 as a young kid and ended up being a pirate trying to survive. Another theory I have is Wims dad has rebel connections and is a spy on the planet, that's how he lost his wife and now that Wim is gone he will reach out to them to try and get Wim back that way, which will cause his cover to be blown. I don't see them all going back to the planet now or at least life on the planet being the same after these events.

"Nobody is withholding information for narrative purposes." That was one of the many maddening things about The Acolyte...it was so clearly obvious the writers were just jerking us around instead of telling us a story. I'm not sure the story is necessarily part of the "big saga" at all, at least not anything critical. Their currency isn't ancient, it's immediately recognizable by the pirates as being "Republic" rather than "Empire" or "New Republic. I don't think At Attin is a "treasure" planet...at least not in pirate terms. I don't think the planet is from the Old Republic, but from the prequel Republic. I think the fact that this world looks like the product of an "iron HOA" is for a point. It's interesting to note another difference: Droids are not only everywhere, but they also seem to be government-owned. Most of the droids we've seen in Star Wars have been personal possessions. How many human government officials have we seen? Only one, a "supervisor." All other officials or government "employees" have been droids. All positions of social authority, from school teachers to cops to tram drivers are droids. All the humans have vague jobs like "analyst." I think the "Great Work" is just make work to keep the humans occupied. When the one kid said he wanted a job "helping people," he was ridiculed by the droid teacher as well as the other children. They told him droids filled all those roles. That's ominous. We have an obviously strictly manicured world in which humans have irrelevant roles with all roles of authority filled by droids. Nobody is allowed on or off the world, no starship travel is permitted. Humans exploring the world outside their normal zones are quickly shooed back to their neighborhoods by droids. The world has been so tightly cocooned that the inhabitants don't know anything about the Clone Wars, the fall of the Republic, the Empire or its fall, or the New Republic. They think the prequel Republic still stands. They believe Alderaan still exists. They use currency from the prequel Republic era. For the planet to have been established and then hidden that far back, it can't be a function of the Empire or the New Republic or the First Order. Actually, this world is very much like Camazotz in "A Wrinkle in Time." The big mystery is how and why such a place exists.

I for one will be disappointed if Jude Law's character turns out to be a jedi or sith. Jedi are generally pretty dull, and sith doesn't really make any sense. And it's always driven me nuts that it's always treated as an inevitability that if you're force sensitive, you end up in those 2 camps. If you found yourself having these sweet magic force powers as a kid, what would your first thoughts be? "I must join this chastity bound organization of stuffed shirts as soon as humanly possible", or "I've gotta find a mentor that I must kill, and eventually find an apprentice that will kill me in my sleep." No, you'd want nothing to do with that. You'd want to be your own person with these really cool powers that you'll use for good, ill, or neutral ends. The whole thing of being force sensitive meaning you're going to join one of these 2 groups makes the world seem that much smaller.

I’ve always been fascinated by how the Jedi Order found and trained younglings, and have always speculated that in a huge galaxy it would be impossible to find every force sensitive, and what the life of a non-Jedi force sensitive would look like. I assume that without training, they wouldn’t be able to maximize their potential, but also would reveal their natural abilities through their lives, and be able to hone their skills by as Jude Law says “practice”. This is also in a time period without a Jedi Order at all, or a very young rebirthed Skywalker order. So that would mean that even the most powerful force sensitives would not be trained! I don’t think, AND severely hope that he has nothing to do with ANY Jedi, so we get a glimpse of a powerful force sensitive that never had the chance to be trained, just making their way through the galaxy without guidance! I LOVE IT! Fascinating!

So good to see SW doing what Marvel started to do and branch out into different genres set in their universe.

0:26 I'm going to stop you right there. It's going to explain how somehow Palpatine returned. Okay, back to actually watching the rest of the video. 😆

I really enjoy the show. When the 3rd episode ended I found myself saying “Nooooo! I don’t want to wait another week!” There are some subtle things happening that I am curious about. What medical issues does KB have? Her parents were talking about them. When Wim jumped into the gunner station, he actually got a good shot off. Was that by chance or is he using the force … like Anakin podracing. What happened to Wim’s mom? She read stories to him and he carries those with him. Was it a way for her to teach him about the force because she also was force sensitive? Is that why his father looked so distraught? What does he know? Why was it a big deal to Neel that he said he basically wanted to be a Jedi? At the end of this , will Neel talk to the classmate he has feelings for? Maybe the entire planet is controlled by droids and the Supervisor is a droid? Out of left field idea … could Jod be Korkie Kryze?

His bands biggest hit was "Wolf like Me" Perhaps a coincidence that one of the main antagonist is a basically a wolf.

My theory is that At Attin is a financial planet, supervisor could report to a specific Muun head of a banking clan…

My theory since the first episode was that the great work and at -attin will be the future first order

I hope he is a super-powerful Jedi like Baylan Skoll. He is laying low so he doesn't get hunted. He has a complex agenda like Baylon...

I’m loving the show. My only complaint is that it’s so dark. Before I watch an episode I gotta spent like 5 min adjusting my tv so I can see what’s going on. Am I the only one?

So something that has reaaaallly been bothering me is the way SM-33 emphasized the “Aye” after Ja asked if the kids were really from At Attin when EVERY time before that when someone asks about At Attin he says “Can’t so I know of any At Attin”. Considering in episode 1 or 2 we saw Fern overwrite her house droid to lie for her. It makes me wonder what the previous captains last orders were to SM-33 before he went into stasis.

The Acolyte had some interesting ideas and characters, it just had too many issues in how it told the story. It might have worked better as a tv movie.

This is treasure planet. I have zero doubt that At Attin is the fort knox of the old republic/empire and it was hidden to protect it and keep it out of the general galaxies reach.

The key thing you all seem to be missing is that the At-Attin population still honors the Jedi in their storytelling. I think Star Wars fans always want to connect dots, and when we do get a film that literally connects dots (The Last Jedi), we are disappointed. My guess, is that At-Attin will be a planet worth saving, a place that's not sinister, but instead a safe and protected haven. Perhaps by the Jedi were trying to keep at least some remnant of the Old Republic alive (pre-Palpatine). This way, the kids would need to fight to protect their home world, and Jude Law could become the Han Solo of this story who is faced with making a choice either to save the children, their planet, and their way of life, or to reveal the planet for reward.
