Well the BEST was certainly saved for last, including an error in the Instructions that made for a curious amount of work and a puzzle for me to solve. Thankfully, Im sure this video will prompt LESU to change the page in the instructions. For the viewer - you will have to watch the video to find out! EPIC. I can't say enough good things about this model forklift. Yes, I had to put some extra thought into this build.. but I think that is part of the appeal for me. Today I demonstrate how to install the electronics, channel Mixing - tank priming and troubleshooting hydraulics, final assembly, and the very FIRST LIFT!! I AM SO STOKED FOR THIS !!!
This model is about $1000.00 USD depending on where you find them.. so they are a heavy price for a seemingly heavy machine. Time and use will tell if they are worth the money. So, Ill put it to work as soon as I am done building...

Safety is number 21 priority sir! Thank you showing the mixing of the radio. I never used that function so far and I always wondered what's it like. Bad luck with the light controller, but it still looks great. Fix her up and she will be gorgeous. The problem with hydraulics is that it's difficult to test. You have to kind of trust the instructions. You can eventually use compressed air for tests, but it's not easy to hook up an air compressor and it must not be strong or the lines would just blow up.

Mixing is easy. You have the MASTER (which is the movement you are looking for - ie: Mast UP or Down (channel 3) ] and Mix it with a SLAVE (Pump.. channel 6). Ask the Mast to go up.. the Pump will Turn on. the POS and NEG of the setting.. is How FAR to the Left or Right.. the servo is travelling.

A little tip for getting the air bled without having to run the machine, is to use one of those hand vacuum pumps. I don't know if it will work as well on rc hydraulics, but basically fill the reservoir close to full, put the vacuum hose with a alittle suction cup over the fill hole and put a vacuum on it while opening and closing the valves, then you add some more fluid and repeat till the fluid level quits dropping. Hopefully that makes sense. Edit, I use the clear hose and put vacuum on it just till the fluid starts to come up the hose so I can watch the air bubbles coming up.

You will need to put the vent screw back onto the tank. When you are running it, the oil will warm up and expand. It can build up too much pressure and start blowing the lines off. They put those on there for a reason. I'm glad you were able to get the kinks worked out on the lines, and get it to working properly.

This may seem dumb because the hydraulic systems on a real loader or forklift are much different in there design, but the hydraulic tank needs a breather on them. The expansion and contraction of the oil may be causing cavitation in your pump causing the hydraulics to not be smooth. It may be causing an air lock in the system. This is an AWESOME build! I would love to see more builds like this and the excavator. Maybe a truck of some sort!!! Keep them coming!

Just a tip, but you should level or even point your forks downward when removing a load from them, it allows you to more easily see how the load is fairing as you've set it, and also makes adjustments easier, as all you need to do is tilt your forks back again to lift the load enough to move it slightly.

Awesome channel! One of my Favs! 9:20 Still Watching. Understand what you are doing with the settings and the controls but didn't follow your process because I was trying to think how you were going to drive the RC with what controls. At 10:30 you started to show the debugging. As a pro programmer that also teaches HS students robotics, ppl understand better if you explain one setting at a time and show the RC working the one setting before going onto the next. It may seem like talking newbi speak, but since your goal is to help newbies and pros alike, then you have speak both. Especially for complicated builds. Love the explanation about 2 ESCs and the debugging. Try a dental tool or other small pointing tool that is not black for pointing at these small items instead of a finger (unless you don't want to keep looking for yet another tool when trying to film/build at the same time). Dental tool is also useful for the getting servo pins out of the black connectors. Safety 3rd...er wrong vids. Safety priority 21st! Looking forward to enjoying all your vids!

Nice build. Being a seasoned fork lift driver, that sound doesn't sound right coming from that style of lift. It needs to be at least the less diesel sounding propane engine and electric horn instead of the air horn. Also needs the backup beeper. Just my opinion. Enjoy the fun that thing will bring to you guys. Can't wait to see the next loading wars.
