wondering what it was doing before you tore into it i have a 2004 500 foreman rubicon and seems like my trans is locked up i changed the agle sensor and pulled shift motor off and tested shift motor seem good im thinking might have to pull motor and trans off see whats going on in the trans my motor runs wheels will not move and sounds like trans is holding motor back and i notice when i got mine used it was really weak up to like 20 mph then was strong almost like it was not useing 1st gear i got mine for 400 i new it wasn't perfect just wonder how much parts would cost to rebuild trans it be even better if could put a manual trans on it i think or if could find low mile smash with good trans sucks not having it tho i used it in the woods to cut trees down to heat my home in michigan worked better then 4x4 truck lol i live in the snow belt so we get up to 2ft of snow normally so imma have to figure something

Mine wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. Not sure what it would take to rebuild. Try to find a parts ATV.

Same problem with mine but mines a 2011 500. I changed the angle sensor and nothing happened Esp flashing 4 times and it says gear position switch so I'm going to see if that's the problem

2002 foreman rubicon, fine in d1 and d2 but in esp it keeps skipping 4th, not sure why. No codes, replaced angle sensor, shift motor, shifting buttons for up and down, ecu. Not certain what the hell to do next

Adjust the throttle position sensor, not sure why but it help me out.

Mines doing the same thing it's like the automatic ain't shifting out of 2 its just reving up .I haven't even tried to fix the electronic shift

Typically, it's the angle sensor.

Hi 03´ Honda foreman trx500fa, display flashing, no gear changing and reverse is like a bucking horse. I replace the angle sensor but things actually got worst, seem the radiator fan is not engaging now! Any clues? Thanks.

Adjust the throttle sensor for the reverse issue. For the fan issue, start checking connector connections.

Any help would be appreciated iv got 2003 honda forman rubicon 500fa like his but red mine will shift if u are not going super fast and my speed stays at 0 on the monitor so idk if its the reason it doing this or not runs good from 1 2 but once u get to 3 gear its good to i go over a serton speed then all the d1 d2 and esp flash constantly and will not let me shif up or down again but if i stay under that one soeed be for the fmgears start flashing it lets me shift up and down to any gear i want

It's show code 2 and 3 replace and fix every thing but when I checked the voltage where you plug in the speed sensor it's supost to be 12v but I'm partly getting 2v so either the display is bad or iv got a bad wire sumwhere I'm try and see what's wrong to day😊

You need a clutch if it aint the shift motor

It moved but only in 1st gear.

@@benholden4585mine isn’t moving at all display gears are flashing electronic shift doesn’t work it cranks fine but when u put it in gear it doesn’t move and the shift motor is whining and once u turn it off it makes a weird sound took the shift motor off and it wouldn’t turn then it freed up and was very wiggly and the magnets was both out and the little springs is this my problem???

@@benholden4585 question the gear behind the shift motor inside the engine where the shift motor gear sits beside the other gear inside the motor is it supposed to spin freely? Mine is stiff it wont turn

How'd you adjust the tps?

I was able to loosen 2 screws and the TPS had slotted holes so I could rotate it just enough.

Uh oh. Mine did the same thing but it’s flashing a 10 code. Something to do with the ECU. I hope I don’t have tear it down this far. I can do it, but I’m not great at getting things back together
