470 is a last class, where you can still work with equipment, sails, masts, foils … the last really teaching collaboration with sailmaker, boat builders …

Def more competitive than 470 class. Maybe if you add in 420s because there just aren’t as many 470 fleets (at least here in the USA).

@death.9738 470 and 49er is less competitive due to the amount of people that sail the class. Very few 470/49er sailors compared to ilca sailors.

If the 470 Class would not put effort to promote athletes and class … will soon the end of Olimpics Story for 470 … which will be a shame
