Feeling nervous about leaving Sophia unattended for a few weeks, but she's an adventurous soul and now, she's ready and raring to go. If they are aluminium bars it’s very difficult to weld. You’d have to tig weld it. But totally corrosion proof so great for roof rack. If you use stainless bolts you have zero rust without needing paint etc. I guess you didn’t have time as probably but a B&Q product. Can’t wait for Canada. You’ll love it. Definitely a chance to use your cruise control.

Sorry this is a little late! The past week has been H-E-C-T-I-C! Sophia is almost in ship-shape (get it? 😏 ) and ready to go to Canada. Can't believe the time is already here, I feel like we're in a time warp right now and everything is moving at double speed. I'm still a little bitter about the paint, the idea of it was just so good. But well you live and learn, the new one looks also super nice. You can use a matte polyurethane varnish over things to make them wipeable without changing the finish. I do it when I limewash furniture x

I think Ben will fly first with Scout, and then I'll follow with River. It's only a 4 hour difference but still a shame we can't all fly together 💔 Piercing was probably the least painful one I've ever had! Did make my eyes stream though 😆 xx 💕

Haha he loves sitting in the pilot seat! To be honest I don't know how busy it is... we're based near Dartmoor and it's very quiet all year, but not sure what it's like near the coast and into Cornwall. We haven't noticed it any busier than usual for this time of year 💛

Wow, welcome to my Country. Arriving in Montréal, even better. Let me know if you are going around Ottawa. A few questions, are you sure you can bring your van, I know that there are some restrictions for the right-hand drive vehicle. If you can bring it, that is great. Some suggestion. The Atlantic provinces. I have a property in Nova Scotia, we will be there with our small Airstream the last week of July, and the first 2 weeks of August. Let me know if you are looking for a dry camping spot. It's by the sea, across Peggy's cove. One tricky thing in Canada right now is to find camping spots. In Ontario, I strongly suggest you visit Algonquin park, if you go west. There is so much to explore here. Newfoundland and Labrador is another province that is beautiful. I am sure you will enjoy your visit, the province of Québec (where I am from) is great and the people are really nice. Let me know if you want to discuss this further. Have a safe trip

I know! We were really hoping to get down to see them before we left but with their Europe trip looming too, our schedules just haven't aligned. We would have loved to give them a hand with Spud too 💛 I actually introduce my mum's pup in this Sunday's video... she's a firecracker and the most gorgeous dog. Her and Scout love each other! I will give an update on Rosie soon. We've had a set back with some regulations that have come into play in Serbia, and it's all a bit of a logistical nightmare 😔 xx

Thank you Giorgio! We won't be travelling across Canada in the winter unfortunately. We're heading into Maine for the fall and then driving along the southern States for the winter. We'll be heading back to the west coast of Canada next spring/summer 💛

Aha we think paint is way easier than carpet! Cannot imagine carpeting all those walls and around the window, cabinets etc. Much easier to just give it a lick of paint. Plus it makes the space so much brighter than carpet would. Each to their own though, we just prefer the look and ease of paint 🙂💛

I just found you when you were here in Nova Scotia and I'm just seeing this video now. I never thought about you having to fly with Air Canada. 🤢 Anyone who travels in Canada tries to avoid that airline at all costs, if possible. I hate to ask, but did you encounter rude employees, flight delays and/or lost luggage?? That just goes hand-in-hand with Air Canada. I'll have to check other videos.

We thought we’d have to fly with them because of the dogs, but as it turned out, the dogs flew Air Canada and we flew Air Transat! Saved ourselves about £1000 each on airfare. Had a good trip with Air Transat, especially as we bagged the emergency seats with legroom 🤪✨

I don't think there's ever a flight that leaves on time, and the people who work there make you feel like you're lucky to get on the plane. Most people I know avoid it whenever possible. I found Air Transat good.
