Enjoying lots of your videos today, the first being advice on shipping a van over to the US. I'm interested hows was mobile signal generally - Do you use an Esim for phones such as Holafly or just rely on your Starlink setup ? be interested to know thanks.

Very cool video, thanks! I presume getting the van back home is even easier - as aside from flights all you're working on is paperwork etc for the shipping. Ie, no visa, insurance, etc etc as you'll be back in the uk. I presume the best thing to do is book the shipping one way to leave the trip relatively open and equally if the worst came to the worst (say the vasn caught fire) then there would be no need to ship the vehicle back.. I'll take a look across you page now, but another video when you guys do make the journey back to the Uk similar to this would be super cool. Just gives all of us who haven/'t done it yet that added confidence and know how. Thanks biggly! Enjoy!!!

Easy way to do the holes for the solar panels is to cut a piece of tape the width of the boards mark the metal where the boards end stick the tape on the frame then poke holes in the tape where you bolts go the transfer the tape to the boards.

Don't let your dogs put seaweed in their mouths. Most of it is safe but there is one type of seaweed, it looks like a long swede, as it is poisonous to dogs.

Hi Ches and Ben, I've been watching since the first episode, I was in the same process of converting my van at that time, not a Merc, but a Ford Transit :D And as you mentioned so well, nothing goes as planned during a van build.

I suspect it is gone by now but if the charger is still available, I'd be interested. Also, in my opinion, you need to support your solar panels between your strips of wood. They are going to flex and flap which will break them up in no time. I found your channel when I was looking to send a van to Canada and watched how you guys did it. I dipped in and out but started following regularly when you were headed to Alaska for the beginning of the Pan American. I was gutted when you had to abandon your trip but I completely understand that moment when enough is enough and its time to go home. Great videos and looking forward to Scotland.

You should have used Play Do. Put it on the wood approximately where the holes are then position the wood and press down. The holes leave an imprint showing you exactly where to drill.

I worked it out after watching this, it found you when you were stripping Sophia down the first time. It's shocking how quickly that time has gone. I'm pretty sure I remember Ben with a full head of hair 😂 It's all change here too, we've moved from Minehead to Sandringham in Norfolk. I'm here all over Christmas. Next year though the Peak District at Bakewell. Sophia has done so well over the Americas trip, I'm sure she is appreciating the TLC. Stay safe love Sue and Bryn xx
