After a plane, with more than 225 people exploded and dropped into the Long Island Sound, there was a good deal of speculation as to the cause. Although the NTSB explained it was a crack in a bolt, people still droned on about other causes. That plane accident was the emphasis for this movie.

Ah, _Final Destination;_ a movie series that makes a point. And that point is... Death has a design, and apparently, also a twisted sense of humor. When it's your time to die, it's your time to die, because Death has a design. But because Death also has a twisted sense of humor, your death can't be something painless, peaceful and/or humane. You can't just go to sleep and not wake up. You can't just have a blood vessel burst in your brain. Apparently, you can't even die from something as pedestrian as _blood_ loss. No, you have to die from something like "accidental" strangulation with an indoor clothesline, getting hit by a bus that came right out of nowhere and was going way too fast, having your neck slashed by explosive-propelled glass and your chest ruptured by a falling knife while the house burns down around you. Your death has to cause _nightmares,_ and apparently, it also has to have John Denver's _Rocky Mountain High_ play right before it.

Watched it in 2007 or 08, when I was 17 or 18, when it was still a trilogy, and was under film's impression for couple of weeks. Nothing scared me since 😅
