Hi! I’m the pianist here! This wasn’t my best performance if I’m being honest. If you want to hear a better version of it I performed it again a few days later at my high school kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4SneZefncSNsM0 I performed this with my teacher at Rowan University’s winter academy recital around the date it was posted. Thank you everyone for the positive feedback! I’m aware it’s a bit slow, it was a choice me and my teacher (Hester Hasheian) on violin, made ourselves. And we did change the ending, it was a suggestion from my piano teacher. I’m a high school student working my hardest at the piano and supportive comments like these make it all worth it. I’ve been playing since I was 7 and want to continue as long as I can.

@@rice2481 I'm not sure about it, actually, as someone who's very aware of the differences between fiction and reality, and how life isn't full of happy endings, blindly believing in positivity really doesn't come that easily for me I'm an idealist, strangely, but as an idealist you also understand disappointment and longing better than anyone else But that's the whole point of fiction, isn't it? It is an escape from the reality of life, is it where you _can_ be hopeful without the fear of being broken by the cruelty of the world I'm sure we all understand all of this, that life isn't all sunshine and rainbow, stars die and hearts are broken, we all _know_ that, to different extents, but I just wish I didn't understand it so well We believe that things will work out not because we don't see the possibility that it won't work out, but because we want the best for people we care about Some people may think that hope is meaningless, but it isn't, and having it even when things seem hopeless is part of what's beautiful about all of us So no, I'm not sure, but I believe it anyway, because Sunny is love and Sunny is life, and he deserves to be happy
@christophertaylor50032 жыл бұрын
@@aethie also, the end is never really the end, so there are no happy endings, as well as no sad endings, only sequence of bright and gloom in different proportions from time to time and from person to person. Some say that it is better to live a life stoically, without great sadness when there is tragedy yet without great happiness when there is triumph. Some believe it not, for in that case there is little meaning to live such a life without strong emotions. However, people live as they are taught to live or, if they are conscious enough, as they chose to live. Sorry for such an abstract piece of text though, but somehow this thread lead me to these thoughts.
@aethie2 жыл бұрын
@@Indrajeet96 You're absolutely right, of course, _sigh_ I could never recover from something like that myself, and I guess the bad ending would be more realistic, but if he really feels guilty about the pain that he caused to everyone, he'd realise that if he left them like that, he'd be making it even worse, I think... While I probably wouldn't ever be able to recover from that kind of anguish and guilt, I'm more sure about the fact that i wouldn't be selfish enough to cause everyone even more suffering. But then again, when you're feeling that much pain, that selfishness can overwhelm you, and the desire to end everything overshadows everything else But is it really that hopeless? We humans can be amazingly strong sometimes, sometimes, we can overcome things that seemed impossible to overcome, if he gets the love and support that he needs, if he takes everything one step at a time, if he found new friends, if he had someone who could be there when things are too hard to bear.. Maybe that's just naive, but yeah, I know its hopeless, but the thought that there is so little hope just hurts me

Sometimes I wished I had found my inspiration to keep going way back when I couldn’t find the motivation to continue playing.
