this is gorgeous... i always wondered why the violin takes so long to come in, but watching this made me realize - mari was born first, so the piano plays alone. then sunny is born and enters the song as violin. at the end, the piano and violin play one final note together, before they piano peters out and violin's sound is left hanging in the air, alone. when mari died, sunny could not go on, much like how the violin cannot continue without the piano.

I could never begin to explain the meaning this has and the damage this song has done to me. Both instruments are so pretty, but in this song they just... Can't go alone. It sounds empty, they need each other. I have tried playing the piano only and it sounds so.. lonely as if it's missing something.
