The lady isn’t Six’s mother. She just knows that Six obtains the essence of anything she eats; the rat making it easier for her to navigate and know which way to get to the lady, the nome because the nome was once a child and found out that to defeat the lady, she needed a mirror to reflect her evil magic. Six’s power is most dominant when you eat the lady, obtaining the powers that she has. The DLC answers many questions and how the nome that Six ate knew about the lady’s secrets.

I read it as Six giving in to her dark side for a moment, if you look up on the table in between the bottles while shes eating the Nome you can see this dark almost shadow clone of her for a few seconds.

For you guys information six is consuming the lady's powers at the end of the game and yes she turns evil and possibly highly theorized that six becomes the next lady as there is alot of things that link six to the lady in these games and they aren't mother and daughter which was confirmed to not be true by the game devs but they might be more connected than we thought

Six got slowly corrupted over the course of the game. Everytime you break each of those little geisha statuettes you can see something is released. Whatever it is her hunger gets progressively worse when it hits, making her eat bigger things. When she finally eats the geisha you can briefly see like a dark mirror image of six standing at the right side of the screen, watching her.

But that happens regardless if you break the dolls. The dolls are just little achievements in the game. They have no true contribution to your actual gameplay. Six is gonna eat regardless. I don’t think the makers made it so that in order to eat the next thing, you have to break the dolls. If you let Six starve long enough, she’ll die and you’ll start over but if you keep going, she’ll eat. That dark figure is literally in every sequence of Six eating😂😂you really think you figured something out.

the game is confirmed to be a lot of social commentary, but the story is just children imprisoned to be eaten in an apocalyptic world on the maw. The Maw is the “only place”with true order so the people in the dining hall go there to escape the outside world. The lady is in charge of the Maw (of course) and her powers help the ship to run. (I got all this from the wiki and the site.) I hope they play the second game when it comes out, It might be a 2-player thing with the paper-bag kid :]
