I wish they showed a finale for the "Great Pumpkin" as well. Years ago I saw one parody cartoon where he finally appears to Linus, a floating jack o' lantern crowned with ivy and a white ghost sheet body. He showered Linus with toys and finally money and Linus screamed "Ha Ha Ha HA!! Nobody will ever make fun of me again!!" The next panel he's still laughing hysterically in a padded room wearing a strait jacket and a doctor is saying to Lucy: "I'm sorry Ms. Van Pelt, your brother is hopelessly insane from exposure to freezing conditions. He will have to be committed for the rest of his life!" Very dark humor, but funny:)

Sorry for the late reply, I do not check comments very often. But, you are right. The Peanut comics here, first appeared in MAD #393 (MAY 2000). They were later put up on MAD's ORIGINAL website in animated form.
