1. switch map hotkey from M to Q 2. lock skills bar 3. make sure u get good fps even in crowded areas, fix your graphics settings to measure up with that 4. make two separate chat tabs: Whisper and Guild 5. dont buy anything off the market especially armor.. people buy from npc and overprice it to rip people off.. theres alot of fan site databases that can prove that 6. you have to get started on the main quest right away, otherwise you will have that leaf icon next to your name up until lvl 30 like i did, and nothing wont be unlocked 7. make sure your weapons and armors are up to date.. you wont really need to buy any until around level 23 since you get it from quests and leve runs

I am wanting to play this game, I am only looking for a guide that explains all the characters you can choose and how the look, so if you have any tips on where to find that please tell me, other question that I have is where do you can buy armor then instead of the market or isnt that possible? sorry for all the questions but i would really want to know before I start playing it

vanity miliano I don't play this game anymore but pre 50 you can either do: - instance dungeons (queues takes 30 mins ~ 1 hour for dps) - leves (small chance of getting armor and weapons, high chance of getting accessories) - get someone to craft you stuff - do the daily and weekly bilboard thing (not recommended for buying equips) - advance through the storyline and by the time your 40ish you would get part of your end game gear for your job class - at 50 you should farm either chimera or hydra? i think it was? for tombs.. (assuming it wasnt nerfed yet) with those you could exchange for a full i100 armor and accessories set, and if you finished the storyline you could work on getting your ultimate weapon though leveling it via atma farming would take days - i highly recommend you visit MTQcapture channel and view all those dungeon guides BEFORE doing dungeons (especially at 50+) - by the time you have the full i100 set and you've studied all of the dungeons, do even harder dungeons with a party or guild and get i120 ~ i130 stuff

I'm having a lot of fun with it, it's really well polished. I'm also someone who generally enjoys action MMOs more than tab ones but I'm still enjoying learning how and when to use all the skills. I might do a full review when I get a fair bit further than I got in closed beta. All the bad things around the game (Square's stance on content monetization and server issues) don't actually affect the gameplay it seems.

Ziggy one thing I do not see noted in any of your videos [that I have viewed so far] is that ALL dungeons can be run cross-server using the duty finder. This shortens wait times but also means some of the cool people you play with may not be able to linkshell or FC with you. I'm only 3 days in, I have 3 lv20+ classes and am loving it. Also great that you (thanks for this) highlighted the importance of tagging aetherytes everywhere! [Same goes for chocobo porters which are sometimes cheaper.]

Yeah some of it's quite pretty - nothing close to the single player games but that same attention to graphical fidelity in the FF series comes through.

It's only got a subscription, there's no cash shop or anything. So basically you either like or don't like the idea of a subscription. I actually don't mind as it means I can either say to Square "good job, here's some money" or "you goofed square, no more money for you" - I like being able to vote with my wallet like that. So far it feels worth the sub but time will tell.

Elemental resistances! That’s what that choice was about! I had completely forgotten about that! 🤣 Grab all the exclamation point quests. Oh dear, imagine that. 😅 Even today, if you have a brand new character, with no gil or gear, the side quests will help. Limsa looking so empty and no glamours in sight. 😉 So many changes in 8 years. Normal when you really think about it. Of course the basis of the game didn’t change nor the heart and thank goodness for that! ❤️

Just for the record, Square temporarily "sold out" of digital game copies ha ha. So glad I preordered, it's without question the most fun I've had in an early stage MMO.. However I chose to leave most of the low level quests for my secondary classes, b/c main story grants more than enough exp in the beginning :D

Probably not, I got burnt out on it pretty quickly and it helped me realize that I probably don't enjoy this style of MMO all that much. I think I'll probably stick to more sandbox-y MMOs in the future (like the upcoming Star Citizen for example).

I think you meant other monetization issues, as I've recently heard about them. It's kinda bullshit if you ask me. It's about the fact that you cannot monetize videos with FF14 footage in them... And about the subscription: I completely agree. I hate the feeling of micro-transactions. And besides it isn't that expensive at all. After 3 months you'd have payed the equivalent of a AAA single players game that'll last you less than a week.

Emily Carter Well you have to complete the original content before I get to HW. That means all the original story. quest and such if that is what u mean.
