Fun fact, the ring of the lucii was boosted, and I have killed MA-X Angelus in less than three alterna casts everytime I fight it since.

As far as food goes, skip the fish sticks or golden tail soup and go for the Scientia-Style Sushi. Not only does it guarantee crits, it greatly boosts ALL your stats, it boosts the EXP you'll gain, and it allows sprinting without any stamina expenditure. This meal is superior to the other crit meals.

this works. I did it today to get my 3rd v2. my leviathon summon actually did 16 damage today lol. I was surprised. what I also noticed is if you call a summon while he's vulnerable, he remains vulnerable until you kill him.

Correction at about 4:16. Don't aim for the appendages at all. Aim for the main cockpit as it is the only area that is 100% open to damage (especially with your armiger) . I mean yeah, you can try to knock of an appendage to gain extra dmg but I have found that just makes the fight longer and a little more difficult. And get ready to collect A LOT of magitek suits before ever seeing a V2. Still, perseverance pays off eventually.

Load up Gladio with 3 dark matter bracelets, hardedge, get his limit break for 999, eat fried frontier skewers to guarantee impulse crits(favorite food bonus,) use impulse and break the hell out of him.

For anyone having this same problem, domt use the camp in this video, use the one north of Hammerhead. Drop a save and run north of the camp. Magitech dropships continually spawn there, one every 30 seconds. When one shows up wait to see what it drops and if it's not the mech you want then just reload your save and run around north of the camp again. Easy.

I've killed 2 Angelus' now and neither have dropped any magitek suits (either v1 or v2). I'm confused because I thought the v1 was 100% chance. Any ideas?

big Adz Hud its not the point you want to kill this as fast and many you can and magitek exosuit wont do any better so you may want to save it for later because it recharge every 20hours

Go for Max Magic. Farm Gil 1.5 mill from Lord Vexxos doll. Buy 99 behemoth horn make quintcast fire. ice . thunder. Go into fight have ignus enchant. WHat ever the enchant he use you use the same type of magic. HIt for 9999 5x. Or use a limitbreak magic hahahahahaha.

I was tired of spending 30-40 mins to beat that damn MA-X boss so i made a seperate save copy and put it on easy and saved...there's no symbol or mark that indicates you've played on easy lol I can't confirm if that happens if you START a new game save on easy, but I can confirm nothing happens if you change it to easy from normal, unless it only appears once you've summoned Carbuncle for the first time ( I haven't died yet )

i kill my Very First MA-X Angelus-0 and get the suit VX-2 in the first attempt, and also my Leviathan did do damage to the robot, i think is because is a machine and is vulnerable to water, or maybe i was VERY lucky, i will try to kill him more times and see if i can get more suits and also check if only leviathan can deal damage or it was a miracle

MekanicalMonster77 if you hit it with a summon while it's vulnerable it will stay vulnerable and do damage, that's impressive luck man I got lucky too and got a v2 on my second attempt.

Well that sucks, now Angelus is more rare to spawn. Also a level 76 enemy appeared in my game which made me confused and thought it was Angelus but a fake and weaker one.

your percentage is wrong. you can't say it's a 100% chance drop for the magitek suit otherwise the V2 would never drop. what u meant to say was 95% chance for the suit and 5% for the V2.

as well if it's a 95%, there's a chance nothing will drop, but the v1 suit will drop every time if the V2 does not drop. that means there's a conditional in the code that's says something similar to this if(enemy == isDead){ v1Suit = istrue; } else if(v2Suit == true){ v1Suit = false; v2Suit = true; }

guambalati the regular Magitek suit has a 5% to turn into the V2 after it already drops, that's why food that increases drop rate doesn't work, because the drop is already 100%. After the drop happens in the numbers, there's a second RNG that has a chance to turn it into V2. So techically, there are two drops than RNG plays into here.

hisoka gon ya it's one of the best pieces of gear in game. 1000 +hp +70 attack if you get lucky and get the v2 version it's 2000+ hp and +100 attack.

Chara Lv 20 Those are outfits. You can’t get anymore than you already have. If you’re trying to use the invincibility perk that they come with I read somewhere that the recharge time on them is based on your consoles time. So you should be able to just go change the time in the settings of your system and essentially never have to wait 24 hours for them to recharge.

Alexander Pearson actually yes it does, i have tested it, and have gotten triple the drops compared to not using it, 6 suits in about 30 encounters compared to my other 6 suits in 100 encounters

Wrath_ the_Bloody I got 2 V2 suits in my first 6 kills and then went on a huge dry spell. Food doesn't affect the V2 drop rate, because food affects the first drop rate only. the V2 RNG only comes into play after the normal Suit drops. You're just getting lucky with your drops. Food has no affect.

Wrath_ the_Bloody the only thing in Angelos' loot table is the Magitek Suit. The Suit has a 5% chance to turn into a V2 after it drops. the V2 isn't a normal drop, that's why food has to affect on it. it's not a technical "drop" because it doesn't trigger from the boss dying, it triggers from the Suit dropping. again, food has no affect on it.

The ultra- S'T'E'P try different areas, it does appear it's spawn rate is just really low, as long as your on chapter 15 you can encounter it.

I found a location that's really good, right below the dungeon Greyshire glacial grotto where the LV.54 midgardsormr is, i find that when i kill or fight the giant cobra the odds of Max angules spawning are high. but once i take out the angules, it seems to have the same spawn rate as other locations, so i save/load to respawn the cobra. i need to do some more testing but so far it looks good. let me know if you have luck with this as well.
