Final Fantasy 7: Heroes (Skillet - Hero - Awake)

A Final Fantasy 7 action video set to Skillet's new single, "Hero." The video features footage from Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core, and focuses on the three heroes of the FF7 saga--Cloud, Vincent, and Zach. Using my usual technique emphasizing close lyric sync, the video portrays the characters' selfless and heroic deeds saving others from peril, even at the cost of their own lives.
For those who wanted to know, this video placed 9th overall in the AMV contest it is posted as a response to.

@billybobmoses First off, there is no need for you to be rude. Second, I know perfectly well that Advent Children is a movie and Dirge of Cerberus is a game. I never said anything different. (You might have misread another comment.) Finally, this AMV really does use footage from both Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus, as well as Crisis Core. Wouldn't you think I'd know where the footage in my own AMV came from?

@denkoudoragon - Just got to your my videos page where it says content ID matches, then find the video and click on view copyright info. There should be a link to dispute the content ID at the bottom of the page. Just follow that and select the option that it's fair use, then write a brief comment that it's fair use because it's noncommercial, transformative, and has no impact on the market for the original song.

You mean the original FF7? Sorry, wish I could! I'm afraid there just isn't enough usable footage from that game to make a viable viable music video. Every other music video I've seen using original FF7 footage either repeated a lot of footage or mixed it with Advent Children, which in my opinion is just too visually jarring for a successful video.

Easy actually. The process is completely automated. Just file a dispute with a brief statement giving your rationale for why your video is fair use under copyright law and your video is restored instantly. After that Warner has the option to file a formal takedown notice but they never have with any of the videos I've successfully filed disputes on.

Thanks. My video was initially blocked by WMG too, but I disputed the copyright claim and had it restored. I actually just made a video tutorial how to do that, which you can watch by clicking the red box in the corner of the screen at the very beginning of this video.

Yeah my video was blocked on upload too, but I simply disputed the copyright claim. All you have to do is go to where it says "view copyright info" and then you can choose the option to file a dispute, after which your video is automatically restored. Disclaimers do absolutely nothing, FYI.

I use Sony Vegas (the consumer version) for video editing. Great software. One thing to keep in mind if you make a video using this song, you will run into KZbin's copyright filters. I only got my video through by disputing it with a fair use claim.

As far as I could tell from the results, I did not place in the KZbin contest this video is a response to. However, this video was a finalist in an AMV contest at an anime convention in Canada this summer.

Well the girl is Tifa, and the stuff on Cloud's hand is the Geostigma, which is a sort of disease. You'd have to see the movie to really understand it. Anime isn't known for the easiest to understand plots...

Well the video was blocked by the content filter as soon as I posted it, but then I disputed the copyright claim saying the video is fair use under US copyright law. Once I did that, the video was automatically restored.

Zack is the name of the character you follow the entire game 20+ hours. When you make a video in honor of the heroes to the game, you might as well spell his name correctly. I was browsing around and snooping bout the whole Claims and disputes around youtube and I came across this I love it, it was literally goosebump inducing, and that can only be a good thing. I wholeheartedly agree that the images must be in complete sync with the lyrics and beat of the video. If I may critique, the text intros to Zach, Cloud, and Vince were bland in contrast to the action and the pace of the music and video. Other than that, fantastic work.

really awesome vid 5/5 this vid is based on one movie and 2 games advent children, dirge of cerberus, and crisis core i assume cloud is main char in advent children so it shows some chars from that movie in here then dirge of cerberus(ps2) which vincent is main char and shows some chars that are only introduced only in that game and crisis core(psp) which zach is main char introduces alot of chars some new and reaccuring ones too

Crisis is on the Psp and is the prequel to FF7 FF7 is the first game they made and it's on the Ps1 and Pc, but Crisis Core happens before this Advent childreni s a movie, happens 2 years after the events of the game FF7 and Dirge of Cerberus is a game for the PS2 and it happens 1 year after Advent children or 3 years after FF7

It indeed is sad that Zack had to give his life in order to save Clouds. However it allowed Cloud to obtain his true potential, and become the Hero that Zack was. Granted he was unable to save Aeris. He was able to defeat Sephiroth, and allow Holy to stop meteor. God, the FF7 story line is so epic. ^_^

Well, Aeris death was necessary for Sephiroth's plans. However he was to late in doing so because she had already been able to start Holy summoning process. It was more of revenge for him at that point. Her being the last living link to Jenova was also a hindrance.
