The scene where Cloud and Sephiroth faced each other for the last time always touched me. You could see the two of them facing each other, knowing the pain and anguish that each other had suffered. They were beyond hate, knowing that only one of them would walk away with no other outcome being acceptable. And what's more, you the player had seen what each of them had gone through while going through the entire story. And this is all from a video game.

I got 4x cut on cloud and cid, got both of their ultimate weapons both characters are lvl 99, With the 4x cut each attack hits for 9999 and no enemy is gonna tank eight hits of 9999 damage lol

Is it just me, or does Cloud's appearance and attitude cooler in the game as opposed to Advent Children? I thought the purple SOLDIER outfit looked better than the black robe, and his hairstyle was much better in the game. And I like how Cloud says to everyone "Let's go home *proud*". In Advent Children he didn't have that leadership quality.

As you know from the end of disc 2, before the final battle Cloud reveals to Tifa that even though he cares about the planet, saving the world is not his top priority but defeating Sephiroth. Sephiroth took away everything that Cloud cared about so this is a personal battle. With the source of his misery vanquished, Cloud is freed from the binding chains of his cruel past and is finally able to move forward and find happiness. So logically there is no reason for Cloud to be a brooding emo like he is in AC (and there is no reason for AC to even exist). I disregard the "compilation" series and think that the story of Final Fantasy VII should have ended with the original game. As great a game as FF7 was, I think the "compilation" media was made simply to get easy money out fans who thought FF7 was the best thing since sliced bread and couldn't move on.

Eric Rhodes Square Enix made the complication because they felt the ending of Final Fantasy VII left open so many possibilities. Cloud is depressed in Advent Children because he feels guilty for Zack and Aerith's deaths. I'm not saying he had a good reason to. So I played this game a long time ago and I replayed it recently on epsxe and the game doesn't go past those stars is it normal? Cause I couldve sworn I could play the game even after the ending to kill the weapon under water cause I killed him on the ps1years back then my brother in-law at the tym went to start a new game all over my current file I worked so hard at and then when he did that I quit the game I felt so sick to think of going and doing all that stuff and I think I just got my sea chocobo lol then I came across this emulator and I redownloaded it. +Mathew Soltan Cloud makes the game a meta narrative. SPOILERS Just as the player is escaping reality with the game and playing the role of a hero, Cloud is escaping his and playing the role of Zack. It's genius. In the end he defeated Sephiroth by being true to himself. He is not at all the stereotypical cool character (I'm talking about 97 Cloud, what Square Enix has done later is a crime). Sephiroth shows what the opposite does to you, being in constant denial about who he is, the moment he finds out he is not an Ancient, he just goes and says "Well, I'm superior to them", when at first he pretended being angered by humans causing their extinction. He is living in a constant lie. That's what makes these characters so powerful.
