The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.
In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.
The story of this first, standalone game in the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original FINAL FANTASY VII

In Cloud Dream/mind I though it was Zack spirit was talking encouragement and guidance to Cloud Since he has Zack memories who would have though it was him all along Sephiroth... even in the first reactor Cloud felt his presence. Then Cloud is really Sephiroth core after all. (I read it on ff7 way to smile novel )

U know what i notice is that cloud suppost to be in a inti-gov group amd yet his spreading his name far an wide. That he is an excellent monster Hunter and has great combat skill with a huge freaking sword on his back. So im pretty sure the other sector would know his name or know his description blond with huge sword adv sum metal arm armor. Wouldn't that be a bit counter productive haha

All I remembered was her dying in an awkward ass position bc of the limitations of the graphics at the time. Now you see HD "flashbacks" of that scene. I think Cloud has the ability to see other worlds in this version. Just speculation though.

when i was young, i just played this without knowing the stories deep. but as I'm seeing it now, they are politically hypocrite. I'm not saying Shinra is good, but neither this Avalnche group, so called hero side either. they are eco-terrorist group. and they use all kinds of benefits they can get on Shinra was worse than what Avalnche thought of, so Avalnche just happened to be right side without knowing enough facts

I'm noticing too much gratuitous "DieVersity", I remember Barret being the literally only dark skinned character in the game which always seemed odd to me as the Japanese are very light skinned. Almost seems like they tried too hard to add blacks to the game.
