Cloud feelings for Aerith make sense here now. I think Cloud is starting to have a feeling for jessie at the end of his journey with Avalanche but cut short because of her dying. Now Aerith has almost the same personality of Jessie but more subtle and demure whereas Jessie is more liberated and straightforward which Cloud really likes.
