Took me 55 hours to finish main story and 33 hours to after that to complete the rest of the trophies, in total I played 88 hours to get the platinum trophy, and I enjoyed everything about it, that’s why I love this game

@@forestthomer3259 Good tip is to turn down both music and voices volume in the settings. All you’ll hear is the button prompts without the distracting music or voices blaring out. My average went from the twenties to the thirties by doing that. Finally beat him with 45 pull-ups by making those changes 5 minutes later.

Best Materia combo I found is Enemy Skill linked with max hp absorb have it equiped on weapon, then apply fire or blizzard for example with elemental on the weapon as well.. it will change all the spells on enemy skill to that element. Add another spell element of the same type with mp absorb now you drain mp and hp.. cast regen on and your a healing machine.

You would need to pair enemy skill materia with mp absorb and then you can put a 🔥 or whatever element you like with elemental on the wpn to change enemy skills element type. You just wont be able to absorb hp since we have have 2 materia links at this time.

You don’t have to finish the chapters for the dresses. You just have to see the dress on the screen and wait for it to count on your play log. Check options>system>play log and check to see if you got the dress. Once you get it, save and chapter select to wherever you need to go

please dont use MP willy nilly in hard mode, use stuff like chakra and prayer to restore hp outside of bosses, save mp for boss fights because the rest chairs only heal hp NOT MP and makes it insanely difficult to keep your MP which mostly only restores at the end of a whole chapter

How you pass the god damn pull up mini game

TheSoundOfSuabNag 1. Turn music and voice off 2. Leave SFX sound on 3. Press the buttons super fast once the guide button disappear once you're past 10+ pull ups 4. If you haven't gotten more than 18+ push ups in the first round, don't bother and reset. 5. Jules will always consistently get 44 pull ups, sometime with luck he gets 41 and sometime he takes his steroid shake and gets to 50, so it's all luck. 6. Look at Tifa movement so you can time your buttons and go faster and faster after checking her movement. 7. Don't pay attention to Jules or his score when you're doing the pull ups 8. Aim to get 45 pull ups to win 9. Don't be afraid to push your buttons faster once the guide disappear, you won't get punished when it disappear and Tifas movement go faster. It's all about the rhythm. Good luck!

For the hard mode, it is possible to use "PRAY" materia, to save MP and heal all party members, this only works during battle, but it is possible when finishing the last enemy, if you use it on the last seconds it will be used even after battle finish ;)

I had to go through the first 9 chapters on hard mode to obtain some manuscripts and level up my weapons (thanks reprieve) before I could complete every challenge - also needed to finish corneo cup coliseum challengers in Ch 9 to unlock the last challenge. About 3 hours of tinkering with materia + 5 or 6 attempts, finally made it past bahamut. Been super fun to replay the story and complete the challenges so far: just a few trophies left!

There's a Save exploit spot in the Northeastern vault that if you save and reload while still in it you can farm Moogle Medals easily and get a ton of items as well.

What are you talking about? Making you play the entire game over again with only a difficulty change does not count as "a ton of endgame content" There are a couple new enemies, a new item and some more arbitrary record/script pickups. No new/side story, new areas, new weapons, and the few new enemies that are included are just sitting boringly in the dumb simulator. Enjoyed the game the first time around but the post game content was shit.

I think they have pretty much painted themselves into a corner . By the end of the game your lv 50 , have nearly half of all summon materia , have access to and have maxed out a bunch of regular materia you wouldn't have had access to this early in the original game and have multiple weapons that are maxed out . Unless they plan on reseting a lot of your progress you are simply to powerful for how early it is into the game .

Then 100 will be the new max level, and maybe 150 or 200 for part 3? As for weapons, I can see part 2 giving us all the ones you can get in part 1. Not sure if they would give us (all) the skill points to boost them though. Materia wise though.... I can't really see Square letting us carry over all the materia we got in part 1, but still give us one of each maxed out lightning, fire, ice, wind, poison, cure, cleanse, and a few other more basic ones. Probably not the best materia types like magnify and elemental.

A question about sidequest and skill points: if I run through the normal playthrough and get all the manuscripts from the sidequests, does running those same sidequests in hard mode get me those skill points again? What if I play through on normal again (for whatever reason), will I still get those? Does the same go for materia? Love the videos!!

Nope, once you get a manuscript you can't get it again. Even if you were to replay it again on normal, the manuscripts you already got would still be yours. Also, it depends what materia. If there's a fire materia in chapter 3, you can replay it to get that same one, but if it's a special materia like the pedometer in chapter 14, it will be replaced by a regular materia if you replay it.

I finish the game and went to repeat chapter 6 and 7 to get the chocobo and magic up matetia. after I got those I load back to chapter 17 to do some battle on shira Intel then I notice I didn't have the 2 materials I got on repeating chapter 6 and 7. does this mean I have to repeat chapters 8 and on to carry those materias all the way to the end?

It will be a separate game akin to XIII-2. The FFVII Remake games are planned to reflect XIII in terms of how they're releasing.

@@acidtrungpa4760 Oh, I completely agree, in the case of GZ it was a really bad/dumb move on their part. That said, I'd argue there's an extremely large gap between the Remake & that practice. Not meaning to sound defensive about it, just seen a few too many people acting like the Remake is something small, like a demo, when in reality it's a pretty complete game with room to grow in future installments, akin to XIII itself.

spoiler alert, this is a very very very misleading video. there is very little to do post game besides hard mode, which is almost exactly the same as normal mode. theres like 30 min of extra content in hard mode. a few fights in the VR sim and the colosseum, that it. they dont take very long and can be easily beaten in just a few minutes

Does Trophy’s earn you anything in the game. What are their purpose. Until playing this FF Remake, I’ve barely logged 2 hours playing my PS in over 6 years. I’m at around lvl 36 or so and at EndGame with Sephiroth. But I’ve seen I’ve earned Trophy’s and no idea what they mean.

I beat bahamuth ch14 on my first play through at level 40, it was not fun. Barret was just spamming pray, Tifa was using Arise and Regen and Cloud was just using manawall and pray. Mega Flare literally 1 shot everyone if not for the manawall. I got lucky with the stagger at 40% hp left with everyone at their limit breaks.

The downside to the FFVII "hard mode".. is it's pointless. I had every single character at Lv50, All elemental and useful materia completely maxed out, and all side quests finished. The only thing I have left is the Manuscripts, 1 music disc, and the arena battles to do. That's pretty much it really, which isn't a lot to do imo.

Exactly. Completing every chapter again really just feels like a chore. I mean I'm gonna do it, but still. Hard mode is easy. Ya the enemy's are stronger but so are we.

Yes. U can only get all the other manuscripts on hard mode (to max out all your weapon stats). I was also hesitant to play it on hard mode at first but i managed to somehow improve my gameplay. If u were able to assess all enemies on normal playthough just adjust your materia setting every start of a new chapter for example. Sewers chapter is mostly monsters so equip ice materia on weapon + elemental. Or chapters that is mostly humans - fire materia, lighting for all robots etc. You’ll be surprise how most boses are susceptible to an ailment.

However, I've seen some stuff regarding material that was made after the game and its sequels and it is actually implied there the fact that Aerith loved Cloud. Not because of his similarity to her actual first love, but because of who he actually was, and she was a bit scared of it actually, which is probably why she tells Cloud not to fall in love with her in the Remake Uuhh I agree with you on everything tbh, I swear I'll cry if something bad happens to our baby girl ;_;

Not to mention it would take 4 more years to do the rest of the story and release it for only $60? It would cost around $200 to $250 for the complete story. Would you rather have midgar now or wait until 2024 for the rest of the game?
