I'll never forget when the credits rolled and Melodies of Life started playing. I knew this was the best FF game I've played at that time. Pretty reminiscent of FF6.

I love this ending so much ♥And I agree with you that it IS a happy ending. It's not like Vivi died tragically. His story was always an existential one and him giving meaning to the time he had through his friends and then children was a perfect ending

Love this game, but I hate that the moguri mod messes up the music timing during the end cg scene, I hope they patch it or something to get the timing right, the music in this game amplifies EVERYTHING so for the timing to be off is a bummer

It's not a complete happy ending. More bittersweet actually. It's really unfortunate how the english translation screwed this ending up a bit. It should've been very clear at the start that the letter you were reading was from Vivi. In the original Japanese it was never vague. I think it would have been more emotional and hit home if players knew immediately after reading it that it was Vivi instead of finding out in the end credits after putting two and two together.
