Are all ff games connected? 8:25 people living in an airship and a guy named "Cid" Ff7 had a guy named Cid Highwind who helped Cloud in their adventures. And the family name of FF4's Kain Highwind is the same. Idk maybe they just reuse names alot but when u make the connections it makes it all plausible
@RadiantIncubus4 жыл бұрын
Lu Xypher The names serve more of a homage to their original counterparts. Characters that share a name with another character from different game are only similar in the fact that they often share the same occupation. Cid for example has been in every Main title FF game since FF2 and all variants of him share the fact that he is some form of engineer or mechanic.
@dontacrowder43194 жыл бұрын
The are connected by the Void. Gilgamesh, despite his appearance, has been confirmed to be the same man in every cameo. Some summons do that too. In Dissidia the file for Ramuh mentions that he travels between dimensions and tells the story of FF2 to Garnet of FF9. Dissidia is pretty much canon to me as it shows the alternate world for FF1. So even by that right I say they're connected. thelifestream.net/lifestream-projects/analysis/4998/frequently-asked-questions-regarding-dissidia-final-fantasy-%e2%80%93-an-analysis-by-squall_of_seed-makoeyes987/2/

Final Fantasy 1 truly is a tragic tale. There is a lot to love, but the technical limitations really cut into how much the plot could be elaborated. The story does feel like a D&D campaign, you had a spell casting system that was much closer to vancian magic and the character classes did feel like old D&D as well. The focus was much more on exploration than later games. That said... the combat system is clunky, the game requires too much grinding with no real alternatives and the exploration doesnt work with enemy levels acting as meatgates.

FFs are not story related. Do as you wish but dont force you in an old game if you are not up to. If i were you, I would start with the remasters versions. In that way, I would start with FFX and than keep the chronological releases: FFX/X-2(remaster) -> FFXII (remaster)-> FFXIII/2/LR -> FFXV ->FF7 (remake). There is a FFVIII remaster from 2019, but I would stick with that other. But,as I said, you can start from any of them. Start with FF7 remake or FFXV if you want. You will just lose some minor references

I really like basic, but very hauntingly beautiful music, but rather in a sense of cozy, soothing and warmy type. The later games in a series only improved in that regards. The game was basic, storyline based on quite common archetypes and established genre concepts. Nothing really new, nothing groundbreaking, just solid game in the genre at the time. Though I'm glad it succeeded to be the seed for one of the greatest RPG series of all times.
