I kinda like the simplistic style of this game; it is basically like "hello beginner, here are the bare fundamentals of the RPG genre, now go and save these crystal things and fight enemies in dungeons for a while". It is a pleasant starting point for beginners, where things are kept simple.

I really wish they would remake this game with modern graphics. It’s such a great story, and it would be so awesome to see with some of the things they’ve done with the art style of the final fantasy games. I’m so tired of all the action rpgs they’ve been putting out. We need something classic again!!!

Two new features for the SNES, I think, made this Zelda game my favorite Zelda game: 1) The game designers mentioned how the SNES allowed for at least two graphic layers. This is what allowed the rain effects, etc. in this Zelda game. 2) Mode 7.

The great battle systems in these games didn't help when the battles were still too easy. It made all the combos and spells kind of pointless. At least for the first two games which are the only ones I've played.

I played this game for a week strsight cause i had no memory card, and the game jammed on the final cutscene. I was so heartbroken, i kept my PS2 on for 2 weeks on the frozen screen hoping it would continue... thank you for this.

Feel like I have to play Tactics afterward to feel more complete story of Suikoden 4.

My main frustation is to farm Fire Magic Ring. Its drop rate is very rare and only available in the last part of Chapter 3. Those rings would greatly help the new flame champion or whoever uses fire magic.

I can't wait for the remaster of 1 and 2!

What i never understood was why it was called Alundra 2 when Alundra wasnt even in the game. I remember reading somewhere there was issue durring development similar to Legai 2 but that game came out much better than Alundra 2

No, it wasn't. In fact, it did exactly what it was intended to do. I was seven years old when this game was released. My older cousin bought it and let me play it. That's all it took. I was instantly hooked on JRPGS. Over thirty years later, I still play JRPGS. Sounds like it did exactly what it was created to do.

Alundra 1 looks boring. Alundra 2 is way better. Love the storyline also, works for a kid around that time. Maybe you are older by that time so you didn't appreciate Alundra 2

I prefer how this game looks on the original Sega Mega Drive. Here, it feels like the camera is too zoomed in on the main character, which makes it less comfortable to play.

The game has its drawbacks but I think it’s a great game sure not going to be at the level of the others but I have played this game at least 8 times and I love it every time

This game isn't perfect, but it's easily one of the most memorable for my childhood. I still think fondly of it. The 15-minute market scene might be a nuisance, but once it's over, everything in the market is entirely optional. You can skip it and the game plays just fine.
