I’ll never forget the first time I popped this game into the GameCube and shed a single tear of joy. I swore the controller in my hand with curious glee! The absolute joy that came thereafter! I miss times when games were good…

English or Japanese... This song is so beautiful.... I can never get tired of it.... My childhood right here.... Never played the game without first listening to this song..

I love the soft deep percussion here, the bouncy sounding one is my favorite, (for those percussionists out there, its a clay pot called an Udu/Ghatam).

You like this one more than the English one? The beat and instrumental sounds like an Irish song.

so much better than the english version lol... the harmonics of the two singers in the middle of the song is SO much better than the english version.. I love both, but that always set me off whenever I'd play FFCC.

I know this is a decade late, and I am not very knowledgeable about music, but I am educated in game design, and I would argue that it is highly likely (given how off it is in the English version) to have been done on purpose. I bet they did this to give the feeling of having a caravan actually signing folk (in their fantasy) songs as they set out on their grand adventure. I like both versions.

In the first game, Selkies took the role of the fast ninja like race that did back flips. For the DS games, Selkies are the badasses that can double jump. On the Wii their just sex appeal -.-...

So I'm having my bard sing this, but unknowing to her. Nobody can see her, and she slowly starts to slip into madness, it isnt until her love interest stops her from singing, and it reverts the kitsune back to her senses. thus causing her to burn the sheet music. Labeled as forbidden knowledge

I'm kind of glad I bought the Japanese version of the remaster. I'm just wondering if the vocals and the narrator are only going to be in Japanese? If so, I would be okay with that.
