Mewoscular chef gives buffs that last until you faint or the quest / expedition is complete. He even taught your mostly useless Handler how to cook for you. Hes also the PALICO of the Leader of the entire group. He started as a little kitty and look at that buff, cooking with a great sword, palico. Ignis cooks great stuff, but only affrcts certain people certain ways, and they wear off faster.

Meowscular chef wins for me as he has abilities that are set with more variety and combinations than what I've seen of ignis though I will say technically choosing between buffs is unfair as monster Hunter has static health throughout the game while FF has fluctuating health as well MH is based around skill of the player way more than FF ( I'm not saying there isn't skill in FF I'm just saying that MH has a higher skill cap compared)

its a close one, personally i think the arguments for Ignus are very good, Meowscular chef having the 1. “quantity” 2. “cooking without having hair on his food” arguments, (no, the threatening world doesn’t matter if he’s always in his kitchen and we don’t see that influence his skills in any way) which don’t sound good enough for me to say they beat a: [ blind chef, that makes food so good you’ll gain “out of this world” attributes, and makes it all no matter the situation, all by himself at incredible speed, plus has the creativity to discover new recipes in very threatening situations . ] i mean... let me know if Meowscular chef has anything more, because as it is, Ignis wins hands down. (it feels like the people used their favoritism a bit toward the design and the character, and the game, rather then their ability’s at this one)

#deathbattlecast Ignis takes this easily as even when he is blinded, post blindness he uses the ring of the Lucil which if not a royal member of the Lucis Caelum means that you die but when Ignis uses it he lives but gets temporarily Blind and adapts to blindness and becomes and even better fighter and cook.
