21:13 About Sephiroth needing Jenova's cells for a vessel to become himself... Let's remember that Sephiroth was born a normal human baby with infused Jenova cells or something like that. In FFVII it's said that the lifestream is kind of a bank of life energy from the planets that allows living things to be, so let's say human cells and soul are made of lifestream so that when one dies everything goes back to the lifestream. So this "vessels" of Sephiroth are actually made with the planet's lifestream by Sephiroth's will, but Jenova is an alien from another planet, so he can't replace that part of him with just lifestream from this planet and needs that alien source of energy to properly resurrect.

Sephiroth needed his clone to get Jenova's cells because Jenova herself (and those with her cells) have a shapeshifting ability. Using those cells he can take control of his manifestation in advent children and shift his appearance to fit his own.

Vergil is strong as hell, I remember fighting him in Devil May Cry 3...Never played the sequels though since I became a PC gamer later on and I heard bad reviews of the PC port.

DMC4 Vergil is so fun to play because he feels so powerful. Which mirrors his character perfectly. The fact that he can kill 50+ enemies on screen within 4 seconds of Judgement Cut End once his "Motivation Gauge" fills up fully. You actually feel his strength.

Why hasn't Tifan and Yang had their rematch with corrected data? That fight was debunked with Deathbattles own info, I will not give up on this.Tifa should have won over Yang. Even if it was a promotion fight. This is a follow up to my exploration into Tifas abilities, here I will establish Yangs durability which is what Ben and Chad of Deathbattle! used as the reason to hand the win to Yang. Its is 80 tons, at least. Here is why, and that is COMPRESSIVE compared to FLEXURAL strength. Compressive strength is in regard to forces exerted against the top and bottom of the pillar, where the structure is strongest and meant to perform its function. Flexural strength is in regards to forces exerted against its sides, which is 10% the compressive.In the video provided by Deathbattle! they used the max pressure the mechanical press could exert on an object rather than what the object actually withstood. The press can exert 3,000,000 pounds of pressure, which when divided into tons (2,000 per ton) that equals out to 1,500 tons, however the pillar broke at 1,600,000 pounds, which equals 800 tons. At 10% that equals 80 tons total. Now I'm not making up the 10% fact, here is the page that provided it, by actual engineers. As said in the page: 'Concrete is usually assumed to be about 10% as strong in tension as it is in compression. That tensile strength is the basis for its ability to resist bending, or its flexural strength.' www.theconcreteproducer.com/ho…This makes sense and here is a smaller scale example. Why do you think martial artists break cinder block slabs by hitting in the middle not the sides? Answer: Because the middle that isn't supported is the weakest point where it will bend the most and will thus break, just like Yang getting hit through the pillar. Remember the video providing the example used in the DB Tifa vs Yang episode, the pillar breaks at 1,600 KIPS which is 1,000 pounds per kip that translates to 1,600,000 pounds. Divide this by one ton (2,000) and you will get 800 tons at the compressive. And as Yang took the hit form the side of the pillar that means we can reduces it further by the 10% flexural value, which equals 80 tons of durability for Yang.www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfVvzj…Now that I have described Yangs correct durability, lets look at the forces set against her. As found here which was a series of calculations assembled by both Tifa and Yang fans: screwattack.roosterteeth.com/p… Total damage output, Tifa: 111,628.8 tons+ > 80 tons Yang w/ Semblance (Even with DBs calculations, Yang was outmatched) And here are the individual tonnage for her attacks, form normal strikes to limit break enhanced.(153 tons-force * 7.6) * 4(PH's special ability at full Limit Bar) = 4651.2 tons-force (Normal attacks/punch/kick)(4651.2 tons-force (Tifa's normal strength while wearing fully charged PH) * 1.25 (Beat Rush)) * 2 (Yeah!) = 11,628 tons-force (4651.2 * 1.375 (Somersault)) * 2 = 12,790.8 tons-force (4651.2 tons-force * 1.5 (Waterkick)) * 2 = 13,953.6 tons-force (4651.2 tons-force * 1.625 (Meteodrive)) * 2 = 15,116.4 tons-force (4651.2 tons-force * 1.75 (Dolphin Blow)) * 2 = 16,279.2 tons-force (4651.2 tons-force * 1.875 (Meteor Strike)) * 2 = 17,442 tons-force (4651.2 tons-force * 2.625 (Final Heaven)) * 2 = 24,418.8 tons-force(Note that these calculations are for one arm Tifa threw Cloud with one arm, double the results for both with a total of 232,560 tons! 10.5 times the power of the Nagasaki bomb, which was worth 23 kilotons or 23,000 tons of force.) And this is going by DB's own data, that lowballs at best and most often.As for Tifas durability, she is not a glass cannon, simply compare sword strikes, Adam one shots Yang and she looses an arm, Sephiroth, a warrior who can cut up mountains and cities at his weakest, struck Tifa who was not a fighter at all and survived with all her limbs and not even a scar to show for it. Tifa may have started as a fighter later that Yang did, but she reached much higher levels of ability much faster. And her only real defeat was against Loz, who is 1/3rd of Sephiroth himself POST-godly ascension. And at that point she had self admitted to have lived a life of peace for two years. Tifa and the rest of the FF characters shown more of what they could do later in Dissidia. Pillars were practically made of cardboard.Now some have said that Yang took multiple pillars at a total of 3 (Are you sure the first two were not on the MECH's nose?) Well lets see what Yangs durability is x3 (80 x 3 = 240) So lets assume Yangs durability is 240 tons, Tifa has a power output of 153 tons per hit without any equipment in one arm, meaning when its worked out (153 x 2 = 306) equals 306 tons of force for every pair of punches, and then there are all the kicks. So with the correct calculations, Yangs aura durability is demolished before Tifa puts on the Premium hearts before she even uses her limit breaks. Some have said that the 153 tons of power behind the Mach 1 throw is exaggerated, this is always said in the face of the numbers of DB's omitted data, are you saying that their info is both wrong and right? Yes Cloud was tossed up by the whole crew, this was done to get him to the right height and position for Tifa to toss him, she threw him herself and breached Mach 1. It wasn't a group throw, otherwise they would have stood on a roof together, joined arms and threw him all at once.Some have also said that since Yangs aura has never been seen to break therefore it cant, is a fallacy. Shes a RWBY character and she abides by the same rules as other RWBY characters, which means that when her durability is exceeded, her aura will break and she will suffer injury. (That's why she lost her arm after all.) Aura is not a shield, its a buffer field at best, otherwise how could she use her semblance if not harm came to her because its blocked by a shield? Aura can be chipped away, as seen in her match against Mercury, did you see that lit bar next to her face? That was her aura being kicked away by her opponent. By blunt, kinetic strikes. So no, shes not only weak against blades.Now I cant be convinced that Tifas loss is justifiable, Ben and Chad go on and on about how their judgements require a degree of consistency in a characters performance, well they have consistently shown that they will go out of their way to make up a formula that measures Gokus stats (Gravity formula) and see how planets, moons and stars will affect a fight, but they have never done that for a FF character. Tifa vs Yang screams 'Advertisement!' The lack luster research and handicaps forced on Tifa and even calling her a glass cannon just isn't right and neither is boosting Yangs abilities above what they actually are. And then there is the blatant red flag that literally fell front and center of the screen after the fight, advertising for a tournament coming up for season 3 of RWBY that no one had yet seen, three days prior to its premiere. The other advertisement episodes were a little more subtle but this one hits you like a train hauling bricks. Even if they didn't get kickback form Roosterteeth that merged Screwattack with them three months later, that does not mean they are any less innocent of making the wrong call.

Before the video: it is going to be hard to determine what vergil is capable of. Do we judge his powers based of off strictly the main continuity, or include the dmc4 incarnation or both since technically it wouldn't not be that feasible based on a certain perspective of power continuity (which a tiny bit of fleshing out would have been interesting to add btw) Plus compared to sephiroth who has stupidly powerful feats and capcom being both wonderfully yet confusingly and stupidly secretive via either laziness, time constraints, and so on there's no way to definitively confine Vergil's exact power except math feats and realistically comparing cutscenes to gameplay. Which brings up another issue: which version of sephiroth and vergil do they use? It might be as simple as in the middle to near the end of ff7 Sephiroth and dmc3 Vergil, but its still a case in itself. Regardless, I do look forward to how they handle it, as I would say they have fairer and more trained eyes then mine in these things.

DkXboxer Actually things are much simpler for Vergil. First of all, DMC3 and DMC4 Vergil are the exact same. As for his power, we know that he is stronger than Dante on DMC3. That allows us to draw some conclusions about the most sensitive part, his healing factor. So to cut it short, Vergil can survive ANY attack (shots to the head, impalement etc) and the only thing that seems to be able to hurt both him and Dante, are weapons with incredible amounts of demonic powers such as their swords

Yeah, I did think there would be no real difference its just that dmc4 vergil seemed way too powerful gameplay wise but it makes sense. Also from what I could gleam it seems sephiroth is a much more mixed bag.

It actually follows the badly kept rule of the sith having uncreative names. Vader gets his name from Invader (Sidious -> Insidious) because George Lucas saw him as a person invading other planets. The plot of Darth Vader being Luke's father was indeed planned out very early, contrarily to popular belief. What is factual is that George edited the script for all the other actors to read, "Obi wan killed your father" instead of "I am your father." The only other person on set who knew of this was James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader which was dubbed later.

BlackMercury 1344 I don't know much about the god hand since I've only seen the berserk anime and haven't read the manga and he's never really explored or explained in the anime so I can't really give an accurate thought on that with basis in fact As for spawn I think that would be a good match up although spawn would probably win because of the power up based on sins thing As for Ghost Rider he's not really fair to put in a death battle with anyone due to his penance stare which can burn souls and instantly destroy anyone due to how he beats Galactus with it in one of the shows at least he did at least so there's no real telling how Canon that is but it's still overpowered as hell

People who keep saying that Cloud beat Sephiroth are implying that Cloud is comparable to him, which he is not, not even close. Sephiroth is so much more powerful than Cloud to the point that he doesn't even give his all in a fight; he never took Cloud seriously. This leaves Seph open to surprise attacks which can destroy his physical body, which at this point is irrelevant because he's basically an immortal Force ghost. Every time they've fought, Seph never goes all out, whereas Cloud does the classic anime protag troupe of struggling just to keep up while taking all the hits until he digs down to his hidden strength that's powered by hope or friendship, and then takes the win via surprise attack.

I think Palpatine did have a reason, being that he once saw a vision in the far future or an enemy that would destroy the universe, so he looked for some way to grow more powerful to face the threat, finding the dark side was the way, though he ended up corrupted by it in the end.

Virgil takes it in my opinion! Sephiroth is op and all but the current cloud found a way to catch up to him already. Virgil can cut spaces that arent even near him, without making it look like he moved at all. Seph has supernova but speaking factually, virgil would cut him to pieces before he could use it.

Sephiroth can easily be the most powerful character in FF multiverse... BUT he just can't stop undersetimating his opponents. He fights Cloud? Ok, wields his Muramasa with one hand, barely using his strength at all, with that half smile of "I just don't give a damn about you, is that all you've got?". He fights Sora? Starts the fight just walking and half the way starts running, and his movements still say "You're no foe to me kid". That's the problem with Sephiroth, and that's why you can never know for sure how powerful he is, since, and I bet on this, you'll never actually see him go at his all... simply because that's not on his character.

Damián Ibarra its honestly his only weakness. He underestimates his opponents *just* a smidget too much, usually just enough to be defeated. Virgil on the other hand, just gets more frustrated and bloodlusted as the fight goes on.

The Killcode Damn ff and their symbolism. Supposedly its strong enough to blow up a solar system but im sure a high enough leveled character can withstand it, which does seem to nerf the move quite a bit especially since earth is unharmed. If black materia is sephs true special move, then virgil's got it for sure. Devil trigger should be enough for 1 meteor.

Oliver McCall also, heres the nail in the coffin- if dante is the direct twin of virgil, then factually he can be scaled off of dante in terms of durability and strength. Dante is impaled by *3 scythes* and literally just keeps walking. Sephiroth is impaled by the buster sword once and nearly dies from it. hmmmmmm..... HMMMMMMMMMMMMM
