it was meant to be. it was designed specifically to get American kids into JRPGs. It sure worked on me.

@@ParaSwarm Ditto. Knew a guy in the scouts who was really into JRPGs and has this one. Over at his house once I played it and told him I liked it. (and that I accidently overwrote his save, whoops) He said I could have it since he didn't really play it anymore. One of the first games I played addictively until I beat.

I love that you integrated the Pazuzu boss with some of the animation too! Such badass monster artwork in this game if you ask me! And what a damn fine track his level had too. Love your boss battle rendition. Any time this game gets covers must be celebrated.

The sometimes completely ignore FINAL FANTASY spin-off. At least it does get love when it comes to music! Keep the FF in coming! Never played this, but I do know, that the game *was for a beginner audicence.* More child friendly if you will.

I listened to this while trying to win Bounds of Friendship (Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth) and I won. Thanks for your motivational music. This is maybe the hardest thing I ever did in gaming and for me it will always be connected to this song

This was the first game I ever played, and every song is still stuck in my head. Every couple of years, I'll search youtube for any covers of songs in Mystic Quest. I love your battle covers + the doom castle theme, keep it up!

I was a teenager when Mystic Quest came out. Right off the bat the game was so disappointing... right up until the first boss battle and the metal soundtrack started up. I can still listen to the soundtrack today. Probably wont play the game again, lol.

I feel like not many people played this game which is a darn shame. I've done at least three full playthroughs and enjoyed every one! Really love the track for the final level too, just sayin'. ;)

Thank you for this. Mystic Quest is a forgotten game in the Final Fantasy series. I never could finish it, though. My game literally froze in the frozen area of the game. Ironic.

That's unfortunate! In my quest to beat as many FF games as possible, I beat this one recently. Honestly I think I'm way past being the target audience so I found it a bit of a chore to finish, but still it has its charm and the music is soooo good!
