Mystic Quest gets a lot of undeserved hate, but Imo I really love it. Sometimes you just want a simple game to relax to, and this game has an amazing soundtrack! Really hoping it gets a rerelease on modern consoles one day.

@Bazerald777 Wasn't saying the criticism isn't valid, just was saying it does get some undeserved hate. Sure it is simple, easy, short, etc. All of those are valid criticism, I meant some people bashing it for those reasons. Like you can criticize a game if it warrants it, but even the most criticized games have their fans. But hating on something just because you don't like it is a bit much right? Hoping I made sense there. 😅

100% agree. It was the perfect introduction to rpgs and set up the final fantasy world perfectly. And with a soundtrack that is super underrated to boot.

Some love for Mystic Quest. Even if it's not challenging, the OST and the battle damaged enemy sprites are what set this one apart.

This is my favorite game of all the games I've played. It's likely due to a combination of the characters, soundtrack, maps, and nostalgia.

I always said MQ’s soundtrack could fit a Mega Man game, and this makes it even more apparent.

This led me to listening the original OST. Made me realize this is just a tad bit slower. It makes it feel less hectic, but it has a bit more... heft? Power? Cool? Either way, it elevates the feel of the battle theme!
