I use to get annoyed by this first battle of Exdeath, because I couldn't get passed him. But now I know, you must level up!

Note: A Blue Mage can learn Level 3 Flare during the battle.

Me and my brother used to have a copy of Final Fantasy V advance that couldn't save at all. So we would just always train, not to die and keep our DS on for like 2 months straight! The last time we played 2 school years ago in Febuary 2013 we died the from the Omega. We was a level 67 when we died! Then the game broke. Finally almost a year later this year we got a new copy that can save

When this game came out the PS1 years ago I found a good trick of using the Samurai ability Coin Toss on the last boss. Since it is the last boss you wouldn't need your money anymore and if you have a lot it would do max damage.

yeah they have ios/steam version and gameboy advance version that has a huge massive dungeon with like 10 more bosses after exdeath. and you need to gather millions of gil for supplies before taking the shit fest on

Got him at level 26, there's no way I can beat him if it there wasn't a golem summon. The damages he make from either vacuum wave and zombie breath just far exceeds my team's hp

I fought him at level 25 my first play through and got wrecked until I grinded enough at 30 to beat him. I’m on my second play through and got my guys up to level 50 with 8 jobs mastered and annihilated him in 2 turns

If someone in iOS version, this worked for me: 1. Invert rows before battle. 2. Bartz is knight, ability Two-Handed. 3. Faris is Summoner, summon Carbuncle to add reflecting. Ability Black Magic. 4. Lenna is White Mage. Krile is Time Mage. Ability both Pharmacology, for Hi-Potion. 5. Bartz & Faris output damages. Try keeping the haste & floating & reflecting for entire party, berserk for Bartz. Then win the battle before second invert and zombie attack. I had one ally dead, Bartz 29, others 30.

funny , I always used the Gil attack , and always did 5-7k damage not mattering the monster/boss , that's how I beat everything/also mastering all classes made me buff as hell

In Final Fantasy 5, there's a job system where you pick a class for each character and swap around frequently. One of those jobs is the Dragoon. Kain is sadly nowhere to be seen in FF5, despite the Dragoon Job making an appearance.

Vincent Oh man, you owe it to yourself to play through this and the first 7 games if you're playing XIV. I have unsubbed recently (not enough time to commit), but there are so many excellent references and you appreciate the game more. Plus, they're just a lot of fun :) I highly recommend playing the GBA and DS/PC versions of the first three games though. They can be a little rough on NES.

Oh really? I beat Exdeath(this one) with level 33. Luckily, Exdeath did not cast Condemned. This worked for me: I had Bartz become a knight, two handed, with Flametongue. He dealt 1000+ damage to Exdeath every turn. I had Faris become a ranger, equipping a Hayate Bow, having him use Aim every turn and hope to get a Rapid Fire. I had Lenna become a White Mage with Time ability, had her Hastega and Float everyone and assist others. I had Krile become a Geomancer, summoned Golem and used Gaia.

This fight ain't that difficult if you know that to do. I tried to kill him with monks-berserks, but notice that I won't do enough damage. So i rolled back and made TM/BM/BM/WM party. BM casts -ga magic, TM hasten his teammates and slow down Exdeath, then sending Meteors. WM cast Barrier and heal if needed. Nobody dies at the end.

supremely over leveled, you can often finish the entire game without going far above 40 (this fight is still a whole world and a half from the end)

@@chaoskiller6084 Well there's 'world 3' and then 'the void,' that's why I called it one and a half. I guess it kinda depends on how much you want to do in world 3; you can just get the first tablet and cruise on to the end or you can try to collect more if you want to.

+benepic once you level a hunter all the way to rank 4, usually takes a bit. but if you grind it comes faster.
