I never played ff5 but I heard the remake in 12 and I admit the battle on the big bridge was my favorite hunt from 12, and this peice is now one of my favorites, kudos on the playing!

Uematsu's like a distant son of the Romantic movement in classical music. I'm just glad there are those composers who have carried on that school's flame, like Uematsu, John Williams, and Basil Poledouris.

I saw this video the first time like 3 years ago, and by coincidence heard the Gilgamesh theme on another video ("man, I know this, goddamnit, where is this from?") and went looking for it. I soon realized it was the Clash on the Big Bridge but all the youtube videos left me unsatisfied. Then I remembered I made a private playlist just with this video, this song, this awesome player so I'd find it later. Past self, you are awesome.

I think the part where it slows down around 1:06 (in the piano collections in general) don't do the Gilgamesh theme justice. It's a frantic type of battle theme and that slow down part with the piano arrangement takes away from the speedy feeling of the Gilgamesh battle theme.

you have the notes down...and everything, but you need to be more musical in this song, because it gets noisy after a while, im working on it rite now and in the soft sections i slow way down and in the more exciting parts and play loudly but slowly as well...and then transition...u know
