Enuo is the true final boss of the game. He will fight you after you use the teleporter behind Guardian. He taunts you for entering his domain of darkness and will challenge you to one hell of a battle. Like Neo Shinryu and Omega Mk. II, be prepared to go to war.
The reward for slaying him is bragging rights, an achievement, access to the Cloister of the Dead and the Necromancer Job.
FIRST FORM PLAN
================
The first stage he attacks you with more memorable attacks that you have experienced through out the game, such as Black Magic, Blue Magic, Time Magic, he will also buff himself with Haste, Protect or Shell when he can. Try to dispel his positive buffs ASAP.
However, like Shinryu, he has multiple dummy targets, one for each hand. These hands are responsible for his constant attack frequency on magic and physical. Attacks like Meteor and Rapid Fire will have their accuracy hindered, so avoid using those spells. He can also be Slowed and Stop, so if you want to use those, do so.
Attack with your best moves, slap down all your buffs and especially Mix up some Dragon Kiss and Goliath Tonics. You may Dragon Kiss Enuo if you brought Dragon weapons with you. Equip Force Shield to the person who is doing your Mixing so that he or she can save characters in a pinch. Apply Turtle Soup or Off-Guard if you rely on Flare Sword.
SECOND FORM PLAN

When it says the Power of the Void is increasing, he starts to get pissed. He will fully heal himself, gain full status resistance AND now have Auto-Protect and Auto-Shell up. To make matters worse, his attack pattern completely changes. He uses some of the most annoying moves you have dealt with: Almageist, Grand Cross, some Dark Arts, Level X spells, White Hole, and a new one called Dimension Zero. This is a physical attack that ignores Defense and will most likely kill someone who doesn't have Protect Up. Shirahadori and shields CAN block it (kinda funny how that works).
Also, any mix effects you applied to Enuo will be lost, so you will need to reapply your Turtle Soup or Dragon Kiss on Enuo again. But your mixes and buffs carry over. Also, now is the time to unleash your Meteor and Rapid Fire Combos as his arms are no larger registered targets. However, be ready for Danse Macabre, Reaper's Sword and White Hole counters. Make sure you have Ribbons and Angel Rings on everyone and be ready to counter any negative effects Grand Cross applies.

With that, every boss in FF5 has been destroyed, without Rapid Fire and with a mix of ease to batshit challenging. Importantly, all my videoes prove that every boss in the game can be destroyed without the necessity for overpowered spams. Even if I look overleveled (I did this at 71/72). if I can pull this off, so can you. I hope these videos have inspired you to make up your own tactics, or help you with your challenge playthroughs. I hope to see the crazy things you cook up!
P.S: DarkKefka was 100% wrong. FF5 bosses aren't hard!

Fun fact i tried on my gba card with this boss, you can use Odin on him, he will use the zantetsuken, kill him and then Enuo revives instantly in the first phase only

Hey Chris, I just wanted to say I really enjoyed all of your FFV videos I always did 90% of the jobs you did during the fights on GBA after being stuck on the game and a few others for years your content really inspired me to go back and try beating the game again.. though Phoenix Tower is a pain in the ass to beat I love how you're the only person to have the superbosses up without doing rapid fire unlike some people.. >_> But honestly thanks for that your my favorite FF youtuber and I'm glad I got this on Steam recently I hope to net all the achievements, hats off to you! :)

Cecilie Lunaria I did. I also wrote the guide to get to Level 99 fast on Steam. Although that needed Rapid Fire, it saved time. However, when you see 10000 people do the same thing and guides also promote that shit, it gets boring to watch. I got to the point that I proactively go as far as shame the guy. After all, it was watching DorkKefka screwing up Neo Shinryu 23 times that kind of inspired me to do this whole run (and I shove it in his face within 7 minutes 1 try).

Cecilie Lunaria Dork Kefka basically went apeshit because Neo Shinryu was cheap and fast. He died 23 times and a large reason for it was because he never bothered using Mix, which was ironic because his FF waifu (Rikku) uses it as a signature skill. A couple of Mixes when combined cuts down most of his offense power and gives you the HP to survive Almagest. Then it is just healing and getting lucky with attacks. Enuo is undoubtedly one of the most difficult bosses to defeat, but if you are at a good level and have at least mastered most of the main jobs(Knight,Black Mage,White Mage...), you will surely defeat him easily.

Words of advice: Instead of using mighty guard every time you revive someone, you can mix two turtle shells to cast shell and protect, turtle shell and eyedrop to cast haste, and Antidote and Maiden's Kiss to cast Levitate (If ever needed, not for this fight). This used along with Quick will completely restore the effects of Mighty Guard and Hastega without wasting mp (In potentially one turn if you don't really need float). Also, elemental power is a really underutilized mix (Holy water and Eye drop) that raises all magic power by 50%, giving mixers the ability to buff casters on free turns. Great for carbuncle strats.

I will remember this for future reference: Primarily the Magic buff. The reason I did MG is because I didn't want to blow extra turns when I could be damaging enemies and it's easy to get back your MP as well in this game.

@@Hellwolf36 Yeah, I'm not really sure whether elemental power works with spellblade or not, but if so you could actually buff both your magic users and your physical damage dealers, which could be very useful to get faster fights. Yeah I pretty much always keep up a mix table on my browser whenever I'm doing bigger boss fights so that I can take a quick look when I need to optimize something. (I'm working on an omega solo currently that I'm going to upload soon, so I have to come up with mix strats on the fly sometimes. I already beat it but now I've just gotta get it recorded.)MG is okay to recast, so not too much of a problem. I also failed to account for the fact that quick takes basically the same amount of MP, so apologies there. Yeah between mix, osmose, and spellblade I find it pretty easy to get MP back too without spending much more then a turn. Plus, with the advent of maiden's kiss + phoenix down healing full MP plus half HP on a revive (Might actually get doubled by Pharmacology, but I haven't actually payed close enough attention) and Hi potion + Ether healing all MP otherwise, there's really no point in worrying too much about MP (Unless you're me and forget about mimic in the final fight, so you continuously cast quick into two dualcasted flares on every turn with no mixer..... osmose is a dream)

She is a Mime. You always get Mimic but you can scrap the Attack Command for whatever you wish, which is why she has Black/White/Blue Magic. All other jobs have Attack, primary skill, secondary you can choose. Freelancer can have any 2 skills + attack.

Awesome video, although I was curious if it is possible to defeat the boss without using mix or blue magic? Pretty much got most of the jobs maxed out and a squad level 99 (thought it would help me out but it didn't solve anything). To put my problem in short, I usually don't have (much) of a trouble during the first phase. It goes swiftly and easy, up until the second phase. As soon as the phase starts, I get a few free hits thanks to Hasaga, but I always get killed in a single attack set. Alway. He always uses Reaper's Sword to one shot one of the members. Uses Meteor next and insta kills another 2 (even when they have over 8k HP) and right after that uses that Portal (dimensional something I think) which kills the 4th member as well. Always the same, always finishes me off with the same combo. Any advice? To sum it up, all members are level 99 Jobs are all maxed out except for the berserk, geomancer, blue mage and chemist. (didn't even use those). I usually used dual wielding for Bartz and white/time/black magic for the rest, or Samurai with Zenigage but all of the listed seems USELESS for this fight. Anything you recommend doing in my case? I'd really appreciate it, the only enemy I've yet to kill.

Blue Magic is more of a commodity as the only two useful things here are Mighty Guard and White Wind. You don't need them but they help. Mix is only useful for this fight for Dragon Kiss (If you are using Lances and Whiskers) and it blocks Maestrom counters, Goliath Tonic if your HP is trash and Lifeshield blocks White Hole and Reaper's Sword if you aren't using Ribbons. What I don't understand is how you are Level 99, which gives you 9999 HP best case and you are getting flattened by this boss.

No. He still has his Rapid Fire counter measure in the first phase. It stops in the second phase of the fight. All Aim does is ignores Monster Evasion checks when attacking so you will always hit.

That evasion was making the fight more intense and fun, that said, Dimension Zero was a pain in the ass, if you don't have protect/mighty guard or the summon golem, that shit can one shot any of your characters, that and dance macabre, i use the ribbon only for that shit

+Kenson Wu (吴忠仁) Go to the Phantom Village (head to the ring land mass in the Merged World and walk around the small forest along the southern tip) and go to the house where the Magic Shop is. There is a secret entrance to the back on the side of the house. The man here sells you Quick and a few other top end spells for a steep price. I wasn't a huge fan of Rapid Fire abuse, so I mostly used Quick to quickly apply Mixes to buff my characters. I mostly use Dragon Kiss (applies Heavy, preventing some skills like Grand Cross, fractional damage, etc. It also applies Dragon typing so Dragon Lance and Whiskers always do double damage + critical) and Goliath Tonic to double HP.

It is really a shame that these battle backgrounds, Summon and monster sprites got wasted with these shitty everything else. Like, no joke, the monster sprites here look even better than the ones in FFIV PSP version. Sadly, we will never truly get that perfect version of FFV.

Understandable. It is your opinion after all. There are 2 reasons for the way things turned out this way: 1) I never ran from battles becauseI don't like being a wuss in FF games and I took the Brave Blade over the Chicken Knife as the Blade itself is the strongest weapon bar Ultima Weapon in sheer power when you run away 0 times. Plus, the Steam version has an achievement where you get all hands to 99, which I ended up doing after I defeated that boss. 2) I knew how Mix worked and I needed work arounds since Rapid Fire, the true broken/zero threat skill of the game was barred because I was sick of how 99.9% of the players used it and I also don't mind a struggle, but there are times where a plan can overcome or make a struggle less than it should be. Most players have underestimated Mix and they pay for it with failures.

@@Hellwolf36 Well, i have to apologize, its actually cool that u beat him without that "cheap" trick. its not your fault the Boss was still not hard enough. i must say Final Fantasies have come to a point where u can rather grind yourself so much that the Bosses are a joke, or they add Bonus Bosses that are unbeatable when u are not leveled up max. that's a bit sad, because i think the most fun is when your battle is a challenge. but i must say, you really destroyed him there, good job.
