i think above all else, its the tone. the incredible music, epic scenes, the somber themes of death and afterlife, stella the only one of light and color in a dark dimmed world, the royalty wearing suits like mafia sitting on a lonely throne. There was just limitless potential in an unforgettable, once in a generation powerful level of storytelling. We barely saw any gameplay and yet this is the biggest what-if for me in gaming. Especially with Final Fantasy the way it is now, this type of elite, mature and serious storytelling is honestly the biggest things that it's missing amongst the countless flaws these last 6 games have turned out. Would Tetsuya Nomura have been able to deliver? I think that's a different debate entirely, especially seeing the mess that FF7R trilogy and KH3 turned out to be. But damn, I wish he got his chance to try.

I feel sorry for all the hardcore ff fans that went out and bought a ps3 for this game and now its been moved. They could've at least released for ps3 alongside ps4 and Xbox One because honestly going back on an official announcement is just messed up.

I originally bought the ps3 for this game. I don't regret my purchase as it's been worth it, but I am upset that they went multiplatform. Square had promised that the game would be exclusive because they made 13 multiplatform.

No it was originally a ps3 exclusive but as of e3 2013 it is a Next Gen Multiplat. This shows off the original ps3 in game footage and the new ps4/xone footage from e3

Idk what happened during the past 10 years but does anyone else think the game play for versus 13 looks smoother than what 15 has? I just played the platinum demo and couldn't help but feel that the combat was choppy to control. versus 13 combat looks like it would have been much smoother

@@naxionkryelight951Magic was insanely good but limited resources was what killed it but that’s easily fixed on PC where you can alter the cooldowns and the amount you can carry at a time. Combos definitely were not meaningless Empty world yes this much is true the dungeons were much better but the actual landscape was pretty barren but considering how Nomuras original design was to make it open world I think versus would have still had this to some degree.

Rocket 69 Well while these scenes run on ps3, they had to scale back alot of things they wanted to do. all they could do with the crystal engine were bigger levels, but they could not create a true openworld. thats when they created the Luminous engine but at the time this version was ready the ps4 was already well into launch and the final version of the engine performed poorly on the ps3

that's because it's CGI, the beginning of the ps4 part of the video it shows CGI and not in-game fotage, i am worried, i can't see as big of a in-game difference as i would like, compared to other ps4 games it just doesn't look as good, and that's annoying me, seeing as FF is my favorite francise, but the gameplay nearly looks like out could be pulled of on ps3 if the ps3 was pushed to it's limits.
