This is hands down I think the best acapella I've heard, and one of the, if not the best version of this song to date. You've managed to capture the emotion and feelings that this music invokes on one, as well as staying pretty true to how the snes sounds come out. I honestly couldn't tell the difference at some points between this and the original snes version it's that close and good. Thanks for bringing on a welcomed trip to nostalgia via memory lane! Growing up, this was always my favorite and most coveted game, and had pleasant memories attached to it. Great job!

Smooth McGroove has a "perfectionist" mentality about anything he uploads and has admitted as much publicly on his Twitch streams. He won't upload anything that he does not consider absolutely perfect and his best work. This leads to some impressively accurate music with stunning quality, but it does lose some of the passion as a result. Almost by necessity, because he spends so much time trying to get every little technical detail of the editing and the music down absolutely perfectly. Just his style, and somewhat of the difference I see to SPG here.
@gyehlove64206 жыл бұрын
I think Smooth McGroove is awesome, he really IS a perfectionist. But Diwa is more talented since he can play so many instruments and his covers are out of this world.

This is amazing! And the sound is so clean. I agree with you that I think the third tier of the piece has the most beautiful music; not many people pick that one, but I always thought it was enchanting. You did justice to it (and to the other tiers as well as the final music) and made some interesting interpretations. It was also interesting to read your descriptions; I had been wondering how you got the timing so perfect on a couple of the fastest sequences, and it was cool to learn your secrets. I have a question: What do you use for time reference when you're recording? Do you have a flashing metronome or something? Regardless, many thank-yous for this outstanding piece of art!
