There are people complaining that this is bad because it has so much optional content that is challenging. And they side with SONY saying it didn't sell enough. And complain that the story is not the same as the orginal which the devs already said before remake that this wouldn't be the same. So about the selling, obviously SONY wants more, they have set the bar too high because it's a greedy company that underpays there employees and overcharge everything including their ridiculous subscriptions. This is a million times better than Remake, love this game!

How do they handle the progression from game one to game two, in terms of levels. Do you start at level 1 in the second game? Do you start at the same level you were in the first?

Level in Remake does not carry over to Rebirth. You start from level 1 which makes sense to avoid breaking the game.

I didnt finish the first one. I really, really wanted the summon mechanic to be like it was in the original, ie you cast it, the video plays and it does dmg. FF7 materia system is (to me) one of the best systems in amy game ever. But they didnt keep it.

Just finished and oh boi, i havent cried this much in a long time. This is a must play 10/10, the last 2 chapters alone are spectacular with a final boss I couldnt believe was made possible in how good it was. I have no idea how they are gonna top this in part 3 if its possible, but this is prime square enix if you loved part 1 this will not disappoint you

You just had to make this video I'm excited enough.... I was 14 when the original FF7 came out and I bought it and didn't sleep but maybe 6 hours until I beat the game. I feel like Im 14 again waiting to buy it and stay up but now I have to work and I cant even stay up for a whole day anymore. Pssh.... I have to disagree. I do not like the typical cheezy, corny, tropey Japanese writing myself. I much prefer the way the game was originally, aka mostly serious & relatable. There are far better items as you move early in the game, however, the summon materia, like Magic Pot, is cool since you won't be able obtain that in any part of the game.

2 weeks after this video dropped and I’m about half way through the game. Just left Coral prison and it is amazing! I’ll check back in when I beat it, but I am really loving it as much as Falcon sounds to be here.

There’s so much to do, I was at 90 hours when I beat it, then went back to chapter 13 to wrap up some side quests and mini games I didn’t finish.

This makes me sad our gaming room is out of commission for a couple weeks (our basement flooded thanks to a sump pump going out during a 2" of rain in an hour storm a couple weeks back). FFVII was the one game I played constantly in the late 90s while I was living in the dorms for college, and I loved the remake. If this is better than the remake, it just makes me more excited to have the new floors in our game room in the basement done next week so that I can dive into this! With Spider-man 2 in the books, I've needed another really good story driven game to look forward to, and this looks to be it! Woo!

How do they approach the 'levelling' issue from game to game? Do you start this game at the level that the last one ended at? Or do you start at lvl 1 with all of the gear from the first game? Interested to know

They said they made a rough estimated level that most players tended to end Remake at and made that the starting level for Cloud and co. in Rebirth, you don't carry over your level from your Remake save file into Rebirth's beginning

Had never played FF before but decided to give FF7 Remake a shot since it was free on PS Plus and it reminded me of the Yakuza games (my favorite series) and i am so glad i did, just finished Rebirth and put 100 hours into it, such a great game. Sad to hear sales havent been great, if anyone reading this has a PS plus account, go play Remake its still free, and then go buy Rebirth, its so worth it. Definity a new top 5 game for me.

What a time to be a gamer 😍 litteraly did my first full playthrough of remake while I already bought rebirth ( I hadn’t finished it but started over) then the yuffie dlc, watched a very detailed recap of crisis core and then immediately started rebirth. I was so afraid of getting burned out but rebirth is so amazing and the tone is so refreshing I am even more hooked now, on days off work I can play this game all day without getting bored. And this only months after the ride that was baldur’s gate 3.. gaming is going hard rn damn

I'm looking forward to when they announce this for PC, that is when I plan to pick up the first one with the hope that once I am done with it the next part will be available on PC for me to continue the story. I enjoyed the original FFVII, and while the changes in the story weren't unexpected, I still look forward to revisting the world and retelling of the story again.

The easiest and fastest way in winning boss fights in this game is divide the enemie's HP total by 3. Then whatever number you come to you then want to allow each one of your party members to dish out that amount of damage individually .

If you have saved data from remake you get leviathan and if you have saved data from intermission you get ramuh. Nothing carries over from previous game.
