DLSS + DRS 100% = DLAA DLSS + DRS 66% = Quality and so on.

So far so good for me. Getting a fairly consistent 120fps @4k w/occasional drop to around 110 on my 4090/13900k PC. Settings are maxed out w/DLSS. Pretty sure I'll eventually upgrade to a 5090 but honestly I feel no need to rush atm.

I am not sure what your situation is regarding PC hardware, but i'm real comfortable without my RTX 4090. Owning the RX 7900 XTX and RTX 3090 is hardly a struggle.

@@Bang4BuckPCGamerHow do you plan to take advantage of the 5090 and DLSS4 when your TV refresh is capped at 120 hz. I have a 4090 and a S90D at 144 hz. I see no point in getting the 5090 when just pure rasterization performance is only max of 30% better. I see multi frame generation when you’re over 200 fps on a 120/144 hz as making no sense. Until graphics cards and TVs incorporate HDMI 2.2 for 4k 240 hz then DLSS4 will make sense but not on current 120 or even new 2025 165 hz TVs. I’m not going back to a monitor. So I see to wait a few years. How do you plan to use a c2 at 120hz DLSS 4?

@@Spartanz1080 I will take the 30% uplift, and maybe do some overclocking and squeeze some more performance out of it. This is just a hobby to me, and I enjoy playing with the new tech.

First benchmarks are out. The 5090 is from 12% to around 50% stronger than the 4090, average 32%. Thats everything I need.

Yeah same. I expected a little bit more from blackwell but im satisfied how it is. With this architecture the gains will stagnate. That’s the reason why Nvidia led the efforts to algorithms.

The jump is not as big as I was hoping for but oh well… The 4090 is plenty fast enough for me, I will be skipping the 5090 and going for the 6090 instead. I have lots of time to save up and the resale value of a 4090 by then shouldn’t be too terrible I hope.

I think the right word for the 5090 is "underwhelming" but I still buy it, I think that is the problem.

i have a similar build to this 3090 rig and everything holds up fine until chapter 2 open world. 45-50 fps out there 😅

Btw, what are your views on 5090? Im sure you will get one and looking forward to it but what do you suggest someone with a strix 4090 does it seem like a worthy upgrade?

I really don't have much to say, If it makes sense to you then by all means treat yourself. If it doesn't seem worth it, then keep the RTX 4090 as it's plenty fast.

If you have have a 4090 there's literally no reason to get a 5090 if you have lower then a 40 series its a good upgrade if you have the cash to burn.

@Rashad5000i The RTX 4090 is still very viable. The 28% performance uplift that the RTX 5090 provides is really nothing to write home about. But if you feel like treating yourself, then go for it.

The RTX 5090 offers more than 2x RTX 3090 performance in many cases, so it is a worthy upgrade. But it is expensive, so if you are happy with your current performance then just save your money.

Sometimes it goes below 60 fps. The RTX 3090 is fast, but can't provide a locked 4K 60FPS experience in newer games.

So, in conclusion, this is the 5090. 30-40% faster than the 4090 in raw performance 28% more power-hungry than the 4090 25% more expensive than the 4090 minor process node upgrade minor architectural enhancements = 4090 Ti Unfortunately, I really do think this is the 4090 Ti. What a shame, nearly two and a half years after the 4090 launched.

30-40% is generous. There was a case or two of 40% but in general it's between high 20s and low 30s in percentage, including RT etc.
