I'm so excited to see how much deeper they go with character interactions, That's the biggest pull for me beyond the main narrative. We've got probably the most beloved group of characters ever in a game and we're about to learn so much more about them and create so many new memories, Were nearly there.

I'd say the places where there can be extreme LORE drops are Temple of Ancients, Icicle Inn wit Ifalna and Gast (if in the game) and Cosmo Canyon. I'm expected a TON of great quality cut scenes like we saw in the Shinra building but packed with LORE.

I'm also really hoping that the Temple of the Ancient's expands on something that I've been ruminating on for more than 25 years. I've always thought that the existence of the black materia is curious in the first place. If the materia that we find in the original is any indication, the magic of the Cetra was just as oriented toward conflict as it was relief, if not more. So, I imagine that the various tribes had to have had skirmishes and wars over ideological differences-perhaps over their differing interpretations of the planets will-and, that would become fertile ground for an arms race. It just doesn't make much sense that the Ancient's were a monolith of peaceful hippies-which is what most people have been assuming. Not only have the trailers shown the Gi having knowledge of the black materia. But, before that, the original game used the same shade of purple for the bodies of the Gi Specters and the lingering Cetra in the temple. The Gi, themselves, may have been one of the last surviving tribes of Ancients; wiped out when they failed their assault on Cosmo Canyon. And, we don't actually know why they attacked in the first place. Further, I don't find it to be a coincidence that Jenova arrived on a meteor that clearly damaged the planet in a severe way, before it set out on it's extinction plan. This is all to say that it's always been my head-canon that, after the black materia was created, it was used exactly once in a conflict roughly 2k years ago. The damage caused by it's use, Jenova showing up with it, and the near eradication of the Ancients, as a consequence, was so awful that almost all of the survivors agreed that it needed to be sealed away. And, the form that took was a mausoleum temple complex; partially to memorialize the sacrifices that the Cetra were forced to make in the aftermath, and to caution others against using it ever again. Anyway, that's my unhinged speculation 😂

Im hoping to see more lore and stories beyond the main characters...would be cool to see side stories of characters like Cissnei or Kunsel...either way...im excited for all of it...its time
