I would like to know what crosses over in hard mode/chapter select. -Do the minigames reset? -How about how well I play on the pianos? -The battle intel checklists? -I'm assuming things like quests and protorelics reset, but I can't see VR missions resetting. I want to know if I should take my time on my first playthrough and not risk doing repeated intel on my hardmode playthrough. Or if I can fly through the story and complete what I missed in chapter select. I want to platinum the game without wasting an entire day. You know?

@@stonehorn4641 trust me man I know a thing or two about taking my time in Final Fantasy VII. 😂 In the Remake I 100% the entire game. -All 20 Battle Intel Reports -All 11 Colosseum Challenges -All 15 Shinra Combat Simulations -All 26 Odd Jobs -All 115 Enemy Intel -All 115 Enemies Assessed -All 24 Weapon Abilities Learned -All 4 Enemy Skills -All 56 Manuscripts -All 31 Music Discs -All 9 Dresses -All 3 Chapter 14 Resoutions Witnessed -and All 18 Chapters Completed On Hard Difficulty I just want to complete the game asap because I know this game is gonna take a few months to complete and the ending will be spoiled before then.

Im also curious but square has had pretty balanced and straightforward with remake, ff16, and even ff15. Im guessing that it will be just like 16/remake and mostly just 1-3 trophies for hard mode with most attainable on first playthrough. Im with you and will def get platinum and will honestly probably go for 100% twice if we can’t start on hard.

Vr stuff doesn't reset and quests save progress you just have to re-acceot the quest (from what I've heard). You should be able to pick up from wherever you left off (minus if you need to pass some story beats to get to free roam) from the chapter select

I really want a discussion comparing ff16 vs this. How different their approach are to modern final fantasy and how it will help future entries? action vs modern atb, solo vs party, grounded vs whimsical, linear and focused vs open world and lots of side activities etc

So I've posted this a bunch of times, and it may only apply to people with 4k+ Samsung TVs, but it made a big difference for me so I want to share again. If your TV or monitor defaults to 'Game Mode' TURN IT OFF. For some reason, 'game mode' absolutely nukes the lighting and makes the soft textures(blur) worse. Obviously, it's not going to fix the UE4 wonky stuff. But it makes performance mode look considerably better.

@@LuisCassih The lifestream theory still seems like cope to me. Who cares "why" the multi worlds stuff exists. It still does, and it still kills the stakes. It doesn't ruin the entire game, but it absolutely hurts it. It didn't belong. Expanding the story is fine. Changing things to better adapt things for modern standards of presentation, gameplay, and storytelling is fine... but this is like if Peter Jackson had shoved multi worlds theory into the LotR trilogy of films "just to keep things interesting for the fans of the book". As expected, I don't care at all anymore about who's dead and alive. It's awfully hard to care when they can step out of magic portals to help whenever the writers want. You don't get to talk to your friends after they die. They don't step out of portals to help you. That was one of the important, hard hitting themes of the OG and it's completely lost in this new one. It honestly reads like a fan fiction....

If you change any game from 20 to 60 frames or visa versa on the go you will always hate it.. you need tour eyes and brain to adjust. Try changing it to 30 in the options at the home screen without being ingame first and it will feel better ... you need time to adjust

Exactly this! Do not start playing this game in 60fps first then into 30fps. Just start of 30fps off the bat otherwise it'll take your eyes a while to adjust to 30fps.

I’m really surprised how much conversation is coming up around the graphics of this game, I like high framerate but the framerate in graphics mode looks great to me. I genuinely think this is one of the best looking games I’ve ever seen (only played the demo so far) A properly frame paced 30fps can look great and play great, it’s how all of us that played Destiny 1 and 2 on console played, and that was a fps! Sure 60fps is nice but not at the hit that this game takes and it’s a rpg, I’d rather have fidelity.

I played the demo and I agree Graphics Mode looks great and runs at a smooth 30 frames had no issues with it. The only time i use performance mode in games if the graphics mode in 30 frames runs jittery

I appreciate they have those modes for people that prefer but imo devs entertaining 30fps are gimping the game to make better trailers. A stable 30 is better than fluctuating 45-60 like jedi survivor and ff16. But graphics modes pale in comparison to well optimized performance modes like ragnarok, forbidden west, sm2, ff7 remake ps5 version (imo). The allies saying performance is as good as remake is all i had to hear.

I’ll play the game the same way. I always like to complete everything I can in the first playthrough before I move on to story missions. Why? Because I don’t really replay games anymore. When I finish the story, it’s usually the end of it. Maybe I’ll go back to if I leave something important, but I won’t play more than 10 additional hours after the end of the story. Usually.

It's a great game. I just didn't like the amount of minigames and the awful amount of wasted time with animations and qtes in the open world. Too many times in rapid succession the game stops me in my tracks and makes me wait for a animation to finish or a line of dialouge (chadley) that was absolutely a waste of time. No like there's a quest where you finish and Chadley calls you to tell you "wow you did"

@@holitinne I understand your point of view. However, what is the harm in expressing concern? If you have been paying attention to his Tweets, he's really had some down times over the past few years. I don't think saying nothing does anything to help what might be a serious situation. If he's actually doing really well and is joking (he clarifies multiple times he is completely serious and not joking when he says this) but if he IS joking, I would be completely happy that my spoken concern was unnecessary. However, I have several depressed friends and he shows many signs. Although he probably won't read my comment, I hope we in the community can at least acknowledge the concern others have for the wellbeing of the allies. I sincerely hope I'm overreacting. I am personally just going to wait for the PC version. Playing at 30 with a choopy camera or a 60 with a blurry image is just not worth it for me... Its a damn shame because I was pretty damn excited to play but coming from remake on PC or even Integrade on PS5, I cant downgrade to that. I want to play the game the first time at its best version, because I think the game deserves it.

I'm the polar opposite of Huber, I almost invariably neglect or ignore card collector games. So Triple Triad, Tetra, Gwent...hardly even bothered with any of them. And before you ask, no...I didn't get into YuGiOh, M:tG, or any of those either. I recognize from a rational, logical standpoint that there are mathematical strategies to all these games, and you can with even a fairly modest number of different cards, get crazy numbers of permutations on potential outcomes such that you could play from now until the heat death of the universe and never play the exact same game twice. My head understands that. I also know that when playing, my brain freezes, the strategy goes out the window, and I make common blunders that make me want to punch kittens out of frustration (it's hyperbole people, calm yourselves! No kittens were harmed!) So I just don't bother with them for my own sanity. And it works for me.

I'm seeing the same thing but I think those people are just misunderstanding the bigger picture of what this project actually is. I look at it like what do I want out of the ending? I want it to make sense, fit what led up to it, and leave me with something to think about. The ending will be fine. Some people are just upset cause it didn't turn out the way they wanted it to.

The glazing surrounding this game is unprecedented. Feels like there isn't even room to just say the game is better than the remake. Everyone has to be like "IT'S THE ONLY REASON TO LIVE IN 2024". I need to see a review of this game from someone that isn't swimming in nostalgia.

Ff16 lmao was not terrible. It’s one of the best ff games I’ve played and ima huge 7 fan. Also square brought their A-team into 7 remake and rebirth, same team that’s had decades of experience working on original 7 to 8 to kingdom hearts series.They also had a bigger budget for this. 16 team is a different unit and square will never have the same team work on two major titles. 😂😂😂 the biggest haters are always the die hard stans and not newcomers😂😂😂😂
