@@Twilight17Petkoton Even with Disney movies being shit lately, KH4 would’ve had their Disney movies picked out by 2020 when Nomura already talked about the next KH game. Nomura also said that the next game will not feature as many Disney worlds given that it’ll be focused around Sora’s disappearance as the main plot point. Meaning less worlds than KH3 which does give the game some access to better movies. Some names that come to mind are Jungle Book and Treasure Planet. Those worlds have had data leaked from older KH games showing that they were worked on briefly. As for KH4 news being nonexistent, that can be pointed to several things. One being Rebirth and Remake. Nomura from prior interviews said he was told that he was assigned in Remake at the last second. Throwing a wrench into his future plans. And that’s not even getting into the bundle of problems of Versus XIII. Another factor are problems with Missing Link which was teased too soon. The game had a release date of 2023 but we got nothing of news until the end of the year when we got a private beta. Nomura has mentioned that the game will release sometime in the spring. But that’s debatable. Thirdly, while this one might not be so bad but the KH4 team lent some help over to FF16 with their combat. It’s evident that the team had some influence in the game’s gameplay. Moreover, Nomura has appeared in other games lending his support to character designs as some games in the past few years have involved him. Overall, KH4 can be considered to be his passion project due to Versus XIII/Verum Rex being involved heavily. And with unreal engine 5 being the main driving force for KH4 it’s likely the team wants a complete launch unlike KH3. TLDR: Many factors point to no news of KH4 yet. I’d expect news after Rebirth is out.

anybody else feel like that they shouldnt have shown him or the polygonical minigame reminiscing of the original game? Like keeping Gilgamesh as a suprise optional boss around in Gold Saucer for CD3 basically would have made more sense, but having him show up already doesn't feel right. (Or him being in FF7 in general, like I get this multidimensional stuff, but he really doesn't need to be in every game for this.)

They’ve definitely made it a point to keep the final moment secret enough (Perhaps for obvious teasing reasons) As for Gilgamesh, including him was pretty simple. Timey wimey dimensional warping, a gold saucer theater or battle arena or Wutai appearance Many opportunities to appear and have cinematic animation for a boss fight

Gilgamesh is from ff5, iirc he got banished into different dimensions. That's how he eventually able to travel to many dimensions to search for legendary weapons, like Excalibur or Masamune or Genji or Zantetsuken. He appears as summon in ff8

Basically might as well be the character mascot of final fantasy as a whole these days because he has to be present in everything, usually as a secret or side quest boss to provide some OP crap. Though I would say the sight of emerald weapon in part 2 is already some giant spooks if we get to start facing those monstrosities before the final act. Which more then likely they will introduce 2 or three of them to give us a ff15 adamantoise like fight, dealing with a giant fking creature again, with none of the ff16 kaiju level power ups to match it. Speaking of which, now that I have freed myself from the switch, it might be a good idea for me to get the DLC for ff16, like I plan to for ff7rebirth, especially if they plan todo another inter grade, likely based on wutai if they don’t fit it in this one or part 3 instead.

@@yoru8815 Since people seem to not get the joke I’ll go ahead and explain the context for those who are interested: So Greg is another name for Gilgamesh if you ever hear him being called by that name it’s because those people are FFXIV fans and they have played the Hildibrand questline. Hildibrand is basically the Eorzean version of Inspector Clouseau a bumbling detective who solves mysteries and hilarity ensues. Anyway Gilgamesh ends up in Eorzea via very Gilgamesh means if you will and they meet and we get this beautiful exchange: *Gilgamesh:* But where are my manners? She wasn't going to give him one the first time he tried, which is why they had the cute interaction where she asks "did you just?" And he denies trying to give one. If anything, it's kinda sweet that she only redoubled her efforts when he showed interest after she was going to let it go.

Iirc, the Wii U was already slightly better than the PS3, and Switch is actually better than the Wii U in terms of power. @@satyasyasatyasya5746 a shame, the honeybee inn sequence was awesome, the plate falling was such a rush, barret and everyone shocked was such a moment of immersion i felt like i was there with them, saving wedge in the underground, scaling upper plate, all of chapter 16 and the shinra building Its a shame you didnt keep playing I loved a lot of the early stuff with the only real stinker being chapter 6, 5 wasnt terrible but if 5 lead into 7 i wouldnt complain
