I really hope the game isn't giving me hope because while I don't necessarily care if Sephiroth gets redeemed or remains a villain, I would love if Jenova got more attention as an antagonist and was made a bigger threat. The remake retains this, which creates an important moment that got lost in the English dub: at the very end of the game, when Sephiroth tries to convince Cloud to help him defy destiny, he uses "ore" as if he were sane again, which visibly shocks Cloud.”

No one will remember for a while, but Tetsuya Nomura is currently busy with projects related to Final Fantasy 7, so he can barely talk about Kingdom Hearts 4. It may be at least 2027 before we see a new trailer or release date for Kingdom Hearts 4. I have to get used to it now.

Also, KH4 has been worked on since 2020 given Nomura’s comments about Quadratum going to be explorable in Remind but decided to hold off on it. So, it’s actively being worked on. If nothing new for Missing Link or KH4 comes by Summer Games Fest then that’s the time to be worried.

Destroying Jenova or J-cells makes no difference for Cloud or Sephiroth at all, their J-cells are fused with their own cells forever and will exist for as long as they both are alive, it makes no difference if Jenova exists or not. Cloud's delusions are a combination of Jenova's influence and his own extreme trauma brought on by Zack's death, so he will need more than getting rid of a small part of Jenova to recover his memory.

To the switch as well, there was this KZbinr that got taken down that for a while before pandemic, was talking about what changes the Switch could make to run games better as it has self imposed limitations that look like hardware limitations. I don't know the vocabulary but he was showing that a simple change to a card or chip that is an important part of the Switch makes even bugged release Pokemon Scarlet and Violet run smoothly, the issue is that of you remove that limitation it can overheat but it can be expanded to the limit without serious issues which would improve a lot how the switch handle games allowing for more complex ports. The reason he got the legal department of Nintendo is because in his videos he showed how he altered the switch and ran ROMs from other games like Shadow of Mordor, FF-Type 0 (remaster from PS4) and more and he got a cease or desist if not something like getting sued or the likes so he deleted all his content. Basically speaking the Switch hardware can support and do more if the limitations it has are taken to the limit or suppressed (at the risk of harming the system) but is possible so I really hope the next Switch does indeed do what that guy said and improve because the fact that we can run PS4 games with almost no issues is such a big letdown. Like I get that Nintendo wants to make a product that lasts but if they raise the specs and update the hardware the good way, the Switch could be port heaven!
