Clerith has always been the main love story of FF7, even when there was an OG ad in the 90s, there was a tagline: a love story that wasn't meant to be. Cloti also had their moments, they can compete a little(Not much). ZA has always been a joke compared to CA because it is an official canon fact that Aerith loved Cloud more. And that the story of ZA in CC is fragments of CA moments from OG without any development

@@marissaemmaa crisis core came after the original game though even if it's supposed to be a prequel and tbh even if i love zack crisis core did a huge disservice to aerith's character... zack is aerith's first love, that'll never change but in the OG game it's been years since she last heard from zack since he died and she's allowed to move on, it's not like she was married to zack. both aerith and tifa are romantic choices in the game for a reason. that doesn't mean you can't ship zack/aerith etc. but it's important to understand that in this game both ships are "canon" and cloud/aerith are definitely a thing as well.

My chat in the video actually regularly trolls me about how much they “love” Cloud because they know I like Zack a lot more, so they purposefully try to get a rise out of me! Everyone’s allowed to have their own favorites and opinions, for sure! I guess I’m just surprised 99% of people in my comments are on team Claerith!! I’m very familiar with the lore, and have a full theory about Aerith and Cloud’s relationship, where I don’t actually think Aerith is moving on, but it’s too much to type LOL! Thinking about making a dedicated video to explain! But again, to each their own, I just have so many people in the comments telling me I’m “wrong”, when everyone’s allowed to have their own opinions!😊

Crisis Core is a retcon game 😂 In the og and Ultimania Aerith said that her love for Cloud is greater than Zack. It's a canon fact.

Exactly, and that's why I don't like it very much. They retcon a lot of things in Crisis core and Advent Children. Hell, the original idea was even that no humans survived the end of FFVII, but that obviously isn't true anymore because of Advent Children.

Sorry to break it to you but Cloud and Aerith were always the main couple. Its a tragic but beautiful story of a love that never got to be. This song is a direct response to Hollow. Thats why theres so much Cloud and Aerith because its from Aerith to Cloud If Aerith didnt die Cloud would be with Aerith 100%

Lol, research is the key.. I respect the others for having their own ship but don't let others deceive you. Cc is an "OFFICIAL" square ENIX creation no matter what bs the other people said about it, this is the fact that they cannot change... Im guessing they are talking about the novel name "the maiden who travels the planet" that why they keep saying the official couple is aerith and cloud, but thats wrong, that novel is not officially released by square enix nor the writers of the game have any involvement in it.. You can argue that Its written by the writer of ultamania but the fact is that square didn't acknowledge it and never did they include it as one of their work (you can research it if you want to).. What I'm trying to say here is dont let others opinion cloud your opinion.. Only believe in Square ENIX if they didn't state it or confirmed it then nothing is official...

Thank you so much for this comment!! I, too, respect the opinion of others, and everyone can have their own thoughts and feelings, 100%!! I have consumed a LOT of FF7 content (some of it VERY recently), and my opinions are backed up by canon facts in the lore from the OG FF7 & Crisis Core games. I was truly touched by Zack’s story in CC, and I made damn sure I didn’t miss his optional content in the OG FF7, which I feel as if some people may have overlooked!! I have a lot of thoughts about this topic, am VERY passionate about it, and may make a dedicated video with clips from my playthroughs to support my opinions and theories, but we’ll see hahaha. I want everyone to know they’re allowed to have a favorite character or couple, and that’s ok, but what’s NOT ok is to erase canon facts and put someone else down for their own favorites or opinions. People are saying the MAIN couple of FFVII was always Cloud and Aerith, not that it's the ONLY one. The game was literally advertise this way in 97... "A Story of War and Friendship *cue the gang showing on the screen*. A Story of a LOVE that can never be *cue Cloud putting Aerith in the water*. And a hatred that always was *cue Sephiroth in the flames*" Aerith and Cloud were created to be the main pairing, then they decided to kill Aerith and created Tifa to have an other heroine until the end of the game. Aerith's date is the default one, the one you see if you play "normally". Cloud and Aerith's names matches, Nomura loves to do that with his main pairings. "Maiden Who Travels the Planet" was published and REpublished in Ultimania Omega. You can doubt Ultimanias, that's fair, but then again, Nojima referred to Cloud as Aerith's "koibito" in his novel Lifestream White (so AFTER she died). Hard to argue against the writter... That being said, you can interpret the game how you want, it's purposely open to interpretation, so have fun with it.

Remake theme song "hollow" is Cloud's message to Aerith. And Rebirth theme song is Aerith's message to Cloud. I like Tifa more than Aerith, but Nomura and Japanese FF7 fans doesn't seem to think so. SQUARE ENIX seems that they are only using Tifa because of their Western fans.
