Wow, didn't realize how much I loved this until I listened to it by itself. It really does feel like a modern version of the original. If you listen with headphones, you can hear the metallic clangs in the background just like in the original!

They got it so fucking right! It has all the poppiness and classic sounding bits infused with a new modern take. I love it. For instance at 0:31 the sound like someones dropping a metal bar or clanging some together, a small but huge attention to detail.

The year I first played this game, I was Yuffie's age. The year I'm likely to play this sequel, I'll be Cid's age. Good lord, I hope they don't take THAT much longer, I'm not sure I can go for Bugenhagen's age. XD Granted, Nanaki is 50 and Vincent is MORE OR LESS in his 50s as well (if you include the time he was sleeping), so that will get me through 20 or so episodes... XD ...oh yeah, and this theme is great. A worthy new version. It sounds almost like a boss battle, though, but this playing in parts like the Pillar scene or the taking of the rocket...will be EPIC!!

Remember back in the days when i was like 8/10ish, watching my cousin playing this game on playstation, i didnt understand anything or what was going on, but i freaking loved it - specially the music, i was hooked from the start. Never actuelly played FF VII myself, just recently my irl mate have been streaming it, and i gotta admit - Its a whole new experience, and i gotta try it. This is FFVII Which from what ive heard of everyone - is the BEST of the BESTS. My first final fantasy era was with Lightning - love the games & storys.

Man, the "metal sounds" incorporated in the battle theme REALLY bring me back to the old JRPG games of the golden era of PS1. They somehow reminded me of the other games such as Chrono Cross and Xenogears (albeit coming from Yasunori Mitsuda's work ). Brings tears to my eyes :').

To think this group of legends went and raided north crater to take the planetery calamity jenova and god sephiroth to save the planet single handedly might be reanimated in hd. They world class heroes !!! In octopath traveler it is also 8 characters who end up saving the world. You can see where the inspiration came from !!
