This method does not work on the remastered version because they removed the soft reset. Try this. You need to manipulate the RNG another way. Load up your game and go examine a draw point once (you need to be able to draw magic, so it can't say there is nothing there). Go try to abolish. If the rule doesn't abolish quit your game and reload. Then go examine the draw point twice. Try to abolish the rule again. If you keep going up by one (checking three times, four times, five times, etc) eventually you should hit a value and the game will abolish the rule you want.

Timothy Burrows i just did it in and it does work bro. I just closed the game from the main menu as hard reset. Abolished rules

Easiest way to abolish all rules. Go to Balamb town there’s a guy chilling at the docks. Play Him once and he abolishes all rules and passes his rules to other towns. His rules are always open, one, all. Simple and easy.

Eliminating all of the tough rules before Disc 4 is the best. The only region where you don’t eliminate the rules is Galbadia. That’s because none of the CC players will use that rule set. Ultimately, you’ll want every other region’s rules to only be Open and trading rule to be One. This was on the Remastered and it took a ton of guesswork and resets.

I used this method and was able to eliminate Random. However, I've been doing this for 3 hours now and every single time I repeat with the girl, like clockwork, it takes precisely 4 tries and then I get the message "Same has spread." Hundreds of attempts, no other message. Is this a glitch?

That's because it doesn't work in the Remastered version. You have to manipulate the rng.

Ive tried a few methods and ive had the opportunity to abolish the random rule in dollet. But when i went to get the Selphie card from the girl at Trabia Gardens, the random rule returns. It's so annoying. Update: So, after a long amount of running around and using other guides off this site to abolish random, and plus from certain places.. All my hard work paid off!! Lol. Now, if only I can get Plus abolished from Fisherman's horizon.

Since I grinded like hell in balamb and challenged that guy that have his own rules, I lost for good the "open" rule... All the games that I've been playing arent open, so I dont know if I'll ever be able to play without the random rule in dollet

If the Queen of Cards is in Balamb challenge her until she decides to stop asking to mix. Play her and you should carry the open rule.

If you don't have the Open you should be able to pay the Queen of Cards to spread Open.

Hi, any idea how to eliminate the trade rule of "direct" because I keep getting the direct trade rule in Balamb garden and it's making the card club quest a pain. I've tried resetting and visiting other regions but nothing works.

You need to move the Queen of Cards to Balamb and play her in cards. So you need to lose (or win) a rare card to the Queen of Cards to get to move to a new region. Save before playing. If she moves to Balamb great. if she moves anywhere else do a soft reset and lose/win the card again. Keep repeating until she goes to Balamb. Once she's in Balamb challenge her to cards. If she uses the Direct rule cancel. Once she is using Difference or All you need to play her and beat her. The trade rule should now be what you just played the Queen of Cards with. Great video. I was doing this a decade ago when I was 100% completing the game for the umpteenth time 😂 Would’ve been nice to have this video back then instead of figuring it out on my own 🤷‍♂️ I would only abolish “random”. The devs for these PS FF games knew we would be resetting for stuff so it was genius they gave us the sot reset.

What if it's like this. I don't have the open cos I didn't mix when dealing watts for the Angelo card. So I have same only. I have already abolished the random here am trying to get rid of the elemental but the Same kept on spreading. Is there a chance elemental will be abolished or I need a third rule which is Open and I don't have it. Please reply man. Thanks
