Assuming this is real, the battle theme Uematsu went with for FFX is definitely much better. This is actually a step down from FFIX's battle theme IMO.

It's real but it's more likely this was an alternate ff8 battle theme The original leak had ff8 sound effects from battle in it

I can't 100% prove it, however when I was in school, FFX was in late stages of development and I trawled the internet to find out what the battle theme was and found this on the website that was promoting it.

However it's quite old around 2011 so it leaves me to think that it is not. But there still is a possibility it's not real so I'll just leave it at that.

There's been audio of this song being heard in a video with a lot of battle sound effects from FF8 and FF9 (I think), and that was supposedly dated to when Tidus had black hair. The bassline is a throwback to the older FF games, even if the instrumentation isn't perfect.

It was. I'm actually working on a fan-updated version of it with a fully proof read script, recorded music in place of the MIDIs, and a shitload of tiny fixes, because I've always been a bit obsessed with it, and I'm almost done :P

I'm also pretty skeptical this is real. Uematsu has done a LOT of battle themes by now and this doesn't sound anywhere close to his style or experience. Even his demo tracks should sound a lot better.

@@La-hora-del-terror fair enough I don't really like the color scheme for the official logo Orange and purple still aren't my favorite colors but i really dislike the blues and especially the yellows It makes the colors too bright and happy for what is supposed to be a kinda dark/depressing/melancholic game (not sure if those are the right words)

I honestly prefer the logo we got. Yes, ff10 is depressing, but that's not all it is. There's also a lot of hope in it. Plus, the og logo doesn't fit Yuna.

It's the classic Final Fantasy bass riff. It's been in every game since the first, it wasn't until 7 that they broke with tradition and removed it from the main battle theme
