Tried playing this game as a kid and had absolutely no idea what the actual hell I was doing

When I was a young kid I had Final Fantasy 7. Despite being way more complex I got very far, and even defeated one of the secret bosses and got Cloud's ultimate weapon. I however could not defeat Septhiroth at the end of the game. A few others in my class played it but I got the the farthest out of everyone. My classmates regularly grilled me for information on how to get past certain challenges.

With the right stradegy Shiva can easily solo the entire fight. Against Seymour just guard against his Thunder and water magic and use that spell thaz protects against fire. The fire spell will rhe fill Shivas overfrive gauge. Is it full wait until before he uses fire again and that use Diamond dust. During tje Anima part cast that fire protection spell again. Anima is just attack and heal and the second Seymour part is thecaame as the first.

It never occurred to me that when Seymour casts spells, there's an extra sound effect mixed underneath -- it's low-frequency and wobbly, making the spell sound more dark and chaotic. Very interesting!

Shiva showing up just like "Sup, biatch?" is my favorite introduction to her character ever. FFX was the best for summons and display of their personalities.

Fun fact: Anima is technically a *FINAL AEON* she was created at Zanarkand; from a living person [Seymour's Guardian; his Mother]. Seymour rejected the Aeon until later however, moved the fayth and never used Anima as intended against Sin. This is probably why Anima is stronger than the main storyline Aeons.

@@techiesinc8703 He was still a kid at the time and his mom probably most of the things by herself. Also, he technically didn't oppose to Yunalesca and Yevon itself like Yuna did so I don't think she would try to kill him for simply giving up on his pilgrimage.

Considering that all Aeons where createt by Yunalesca I dont think Anima is a Final Aeon. Neither Symour ore Yuna died when they summon here. She is powerful but mostly just a normal Aeon.

It's not a final aeon his mom was used as a fayth to give the aeon. But a person that is a final aeon doesn't become a statue.

And Seymour, Seymour Flux, Yunalesca, Sin and Jecht were the difficult boss of the whole game (And don't forgot Omega_Arma that have like 2 millions HP i was tired so I thought Penance would be better but when I found out Penance was 15 millions HP i make my way over Omega Arma and tried suicide

You should try again I play this on Switch and beat him 2 weeks ago after 2 tries. And the damage I did was a bit less than this player does. Its not that hard but mistakes can be punished heavy. Also I didn't know that the ice summon could heal using Blizzarda on herself, that wouldv made it a bit more easier for me. And you can use steal with Rikku to stop Seymour helpers from healing.

Just normal attack for Shiva is okay. Don't just use heavenly strike because it delays your turn.

I will never forget this fight or any fight with Seymour for that matter. You could make the initial part of this fight much easier if you learned Stone Breathe with Kimahri. If you went into the battle with your Overdrive you could immediately turn his two lackeys into stone.

I could be wrong, but in your videos of you fighting Seymour, he seems to attack Tidus ALOT. Using mid level magic to attack him, hitting him with Flare, and turning Tidus to stone as well

Samuel Jansen it makes sense. Seymour wants Yuna and Yuna wants Tidus. In his simple mind, killing Tidus will make Yuna want Seymour instead.

Dont get why no one uses overdrives in battles, like you have them all boosted for a reason, like to just get beat when you could unload them all and be done the battle in like 10 seconds, doesnt make sense

I’m stuck on this boss and no strategy I use works and I feel silly because apparently this isn’t the only time you fight him either 😂 anyone got any tips? The way I have it right now, all my characters have overdrive ready to use at the start, I use Tidus to get rid of the guards and then when Anima gets summoned I have Yuna call in Shiva and usually Shiva doesn’t survive all the way through so I use all my other summons so Animas overdrive doesn’t wipe out my characters till he’s done and it’s just Seymour, but then I’m without summons and Seymour just uses his multi-magic attacks and wipes out all my characters anyway and I’ve literally level grinned outside of the temple three times already lol
