@@I_stand_alone_gaming I think what he's saying is that it sounds like you're saying "e-quip-ted". Like at 2:16 you say "what you wanna do is make sure you have your weapons equipted first", instead of the correct "equipped". Pronounced "eee-kwipt". Anyway it's a great video, not meaning to criticise. Just thought it was an interesting way to say the word :P

As long as people understand, then my job is done. people can nitpick anything if they look hard enough. If i pronounced it exactly as its written it would be Ee-kwip-ed but, yes i was trying to say equipped. lol and ill continue to say it that way. Seems like such a minor issue if the video is helpful. Go with kacktrice! He makes 10.000 or 99.999 damage. Endless. Tombery quits his 99.999 damage move if he is close!

True but, if you have all the buffs mentioned. you could run after like 3 hits and max out at 99 sphere levels. no need to continue the fight that long.

once you have the equipment, it's quite easy. attack for 3 turns, run, rinse, repeat. which can be done in less than a minute. either way it's a grind fest.@@xatmo8467

Buddy. You have so many things going on you don’t make clear how’d you even get the green guy. My monster arena is missing areas? Do I have to farm other areas to unlock monsters THEN do the trick??? This trick is frustrating me to be honest

So you came into this video with no prior knowledge? The guy below your comment had a different experience. If you want a full step by step, feel free to watch my entire let's play... because a lot of this game takes hours. This is a late game leveling trick done typically after the end of the game and trying to max out your stats... and I'm not going to make a 5 hour video depicting every detail of every detail when you don't even have the prior knowledge. But, ill try to help you out. Step 1 - complete the monster arena... there's plenty of videos on how to do this. Step 2 - come back and watch this video.

This isn’t a trick for when you get there to level up to max this is a trick used when your already so powerful it doesn’t matter..I appreciate the effort I get that💯 even the time to comment back….there are steps here that are “implied” and to be honest this is a surprisingly complex game……not to go on a tangent but the trick I guess is designed for try hards who play well beyond beating the game

@@jacksputrid if your goal is only beating sin and "beating the main story" then yes. I guess that's a fair statement. However you'll need a lot more to fully beat the game and taking on optional bosses like dark aeons or penance. If your only goal is to beat sin, just farm omega ruins. If I made a full video explaining the monster arena it would take hours and if you don't know what Don Tonbery already is, this video probably isn't what you're looking for since that's what's in the title.

The AP weapon i was using was called ragnarok. After customizing a variable steel with triple AP, Overdrive > AP, and Triple Overdrive.

@@I_stand_alone_gaming do they all have to have the triple AP weapon to get the benefit or does it work as long as one person has it?? Please let me know when you can. Thanks so much.

@@sabbtheman Basically this trick can be done without triple AP but, Double AP and Triple AP make it much faster. however you really only need the weapon for whichever character you want to level. As long as you have Overdrive > AP and setup your character correctly.

I used to do this. But honestly? With Triple AP ability just killing Master Tonberry gives like 2-3 levels per kill which is pretty decent. I just fought him over and over for about 10 minutes for AP and it doesnt take that long. Also doesnt require overdrive>AP which is convenient.

With full equipment. You can run after don tonberry hits you like 3 times and get 99 sphere levels for everyone but, there are definitely a lot of ways to power level.

@@I_stand_alone_gamingYeah if you want to go out of your way to get 3 ridiculous abilities. And are just lazy. 2-3 levels per battle isnt exactly bad. And is usually my go-to for a playthru. Requires less upkeep.

Okay admittedly that did sound kinda mean. Not my intention. I just get tired of hearing about Cactuar King and Don Tonberry tricks. I usually beeline for Triple AP weapons and then just just go with Master Tonberry. Its so fast and can be achieved pretty early on at postgame. Heck you dont even need to be very far in catching monsters for it. XD

@@Tesla2586 late game, most of the materials are pretty easy to get and there is no upkeep after obtaining the weapons. when trying to maximize your sphere grid and stats there is already plenty of battles already but, to each their own. as said, there are plenty of leveling tricks. simply farming omega ruins is very efficient for leveling as well. all depends on what the goals are for leveling. Getting triple AP shortly after reaching sin or sooner definitely helps out and is an early form of leveling efficiently. Triple AP is very good and greatly speeds up the process but, if the goal is to maximize then there aren't too many options. @@Tesla2586
