Sooo, this has always been one of my favorite "soft" tunes. I'm a metalhead, and when my mom passed away I dedicated this song to her because she played piano and taught music at my school when I was a kid. Every time I heard this song I'd tear up from how beautiful it was and hearing the piano made me think of my mom playing. Anyways, I play bass/guitar and dude hearing this made me smile so fucking huge, I live your work, and honestly if you had any kid of tablature or sheet music for this I'd absolutely love you for the rest of my life if you could send it to me some way or another so I could play this song like this. Anyways, once again, I love your work and listen to your music constantly

It's kinda funny, I overall don't really like FFX... Though like with every other FF game, it has a fantastic soundtrack, and this song is by far the best, I'd even say it's a strong contender for best FF piece ever. But FFX-2, which yeah, mostly was pretty crap, has 1 really, really good scene actually, the scene where they hold a concert, where you get the flashback to the person Tidus used to be. The song was fantastic, and it did really well at telling that part of the story, without even having the characters in the flashback utter a single word.

I'll admit, when I saw this I was both excited to hear your take and a bit worried that it might end up just sounding too much like the Black Mages version. I think you did a great job both staying true to the source and also really making it your own. That's gotta be an interesting challenge for a song like this that already has an "official metal cover" version out there, but you nailed it.
