This method is not dead: Use Locus mobs as your main target. Sleep any other Locus mobs that are in your bug batch. And pull actively. I like to camp at the tunnel that goes into the center of the donut because there are only Apex mobs back there. Every third pull guarantees all Apex. Update: (1) Cataclysm is viable but Earth Crusher is better due to the Mushrooms being strong to Dark Damage. If using Earth Crusher, swap your neck piece for Quanpur Necklace (Yorcia WKR reward). (2) Gozuki Mezuki is an All Jobs Staff from Onychophora if you're looking for an option that literally works for anything. (3) Crawler's Slow doesn't actually overwrite Haste or Haste II. Is it better to offhand naegling (with tauret mh) than a tp bonus weapon?

That's a good question. I am thinking it probably would be better to offhand a 1000 TP weapon. The great thing about COR is it gets to do both! But the nice thing is that Magic WS damage is incredibly consistent. Test out both and see which one wins. . . but my instinct is 1k will bury Naegling. Of course, this assumes you can hit with the 1k TP weapon. If accuracy is terrible, switch back to Naegling.

Is better to offhan a weapon with High MAB and Magic Damage over a TP bonus Weapon. The reason why is actually quite simple, although Aeolian Edge scales damage with TP the fTP values are EXTREMELY LOW , being 2.0 at 1k TP, 3.0 at 2k TP and 4.5 at 3k TP. This makes it so that unlike WS like Savage Blade or Judgment, that have huge fTP increases between 1k and 2k tp, the increase in damage you gain by using a TP bonus weapon is lower conpared to what you would get by offhand something like the Levante Dagger (hands down BiS offhand for Aeolian Edge) that offers wind Elemental Damage and is on a lot of jobs a 2nf Malevolence if your job can use it. For COR, the best option is actually to use Tauret and Naegling. Can swap in a TP bonus gun, but you would fetch better results by using Holliday or a Doomsday augmented for the purpose, with AGI, MAB and WSD.

If you don't have Nyame, focus on WSD%+ pieces for whichever job you're using (AF piece, relic piece, and now Empy+2 piece!). If you don't have WSD% for some slots, focus on pieces with high INT/DEX, magic attack, and magic attack bonus. I probably should have said something to that effect in the video. . . but I wanted to focus on gear for 'All Jobs.' Also, if you're on Fenrir, I will help you get some Odyssey gear!

Hi there! Returning player here. Quit right as wings of goddess came out. I have rune to 99 just today. Am wondering if a starting rune with low gear could do something like this for cp In a lower lv area.

Another popular spot for this type of leveling is in Dho Gates. Apex Bats and Crabs are a great target for cleaving. But as a fresh L99 this will still be difficult. As a RUN, though, if you can get your hands on an Aettir and the Nyame gear (which isn't exactly easy but is doable with help) you should be able to tank Dho Gates for sure and maybe even Crawler's Nest [S] with the right support.

@@ZeroRacer Yes, you need DDs to AoE cleave using RUN. You will use Shockwave + Foil to tag and spike hate but RUN doesn't supply damage in this setup.

Master Levels just aren't friendly for soling. BLM does great in this particular party set up, though. Just come on over to Fenrir!

However, I have seen great results with Magic Bursting crabs in Bibiki Bay. You'll need at least one person to set you up with SCs.

How is this with locus mobs there now?

In some ways, it's actually better. We went down there two nights ago and were doing smaller, more frequent pulls to avoid Locus as much as possible and any Locus mobs that do get pulled in can be slept and left asleep until you kill them. This resulted in a much more controlled environment, but it was still slower than before. All in all, we were able to do 325,000 EP/hour. The trick is to camp in the SW corner at the mouth of the tunnel. All the crawler's in the tunnel are Apex giving you clean pulls every respawn. When you pull out from the donut, try to avoid Locus. Some will invariably come in the mix, so have the DDs TP and WS directly on Locus mobs. One nice thing about the AOE nerf on Locus is that they take 0 damage from AOE meaning you can sleep any Locus that do come in and leave them asleep until you use them for a TP battery. It keeps things a little more controlled. We definitely benefited from there being nobody else down there. Because there are less total Apex to go around, even one party nearby will substantially reduce the EPs. . . much more than before.

I was told that this got nerfed and most people are in King romford's tomb now not over here in crawlers Nest in the past. Even the guy that is a robot does not do cleaving down here so perhaps you might want to upgrade the video or talk about the elephant in the room or clearing is no longer as viable as it was down here because I've been down here and it was dead nobody was here

This method can still comfortably pull in 350k/hour. It's not quite as good as it was before the nerf *if* you had the area to yourself. The difference now is that you always have the area to yourself. Most people moved to KRT and Bhaflau Thickets not because this method is too nerfed, but because botting has become so much more competitive. It's a real shame, but that's the truth of it. All you do is make sure to use a Locus mob as a TP battery. You can sleep the other Locus mobs as they will not wake up from AOE damage. The one you're using as a TP battery will die. And just have that puller bringing you extra mobs. Most people that were cleaving weren't doing it like this, anyway, and that's why they think it's nerfed. They used a tank to pull the whole heckin' zone. But if you do the way I describe in this video, Locus mobs aren't that big of an issue. There's just less total apex to go around. But, honestly, with no other groups competing, I find it's actually better!

It does but you have to be mindful of the Locus mobs. On the plus side, there is never anybody down there so you never have competition. On the other hand, the Locus mobs can really mess it up if you let too many stick around.

/BLU does not grant access to Aeolian Edge and would severely hamper PLD's efficacy for this purpose. A PLD using Aeolian Edge will be the top DD is this situation and /BLU will bring little to the table while sacrificing all that DD potential.

@@jakeantoine5429 Yea, I prefer not to use the PLD to pull due its DD potential. Literally any job can pull if you prepare properly, as delineated in the video. Do whatever you're comfortable with, but PLD really shines as /RDM in a way I've never experienced and made leveling it extra fun.
