@@teufelsschnitzel8708 The best Zodiark strategy if you aren't stealing from him is to amass holy weapons, tank the first Darkja and then go all in on the damage output. If he puts his paling up, dispel his reflect and pop scathes until he dies. In any other setting, Zodiark will pump Darkja out and just kill everybody.

Niho paloha and golden needle on yourself with summoned zodiark but also niho paloha and use that item that cures all negative status on enemies lol

Ultima it's also broken, shemhazai and zeromus can break the damage limit. In particular shamhazai have the most damaging attack in the original. But that attack it's that powerful only on a ridiculus amount of usage of a certain item ( rust/rusty something I don't know the name in english) and it's borderline cheating.

Twelve was such a good instalment of the series, and fun to play due to the interactive battles. I reckon it was on par with seven, eight and nine, if not better if you try to void nostalgia from the equation. The fighting system really made it for me, and was probably the last of the series that was any good (excluding ten and eleven which were shite).

12's good but definitely not for its combat, more so for its story and characters and I guess the world was alright. But in general the gameplay was basically stick berserk and haste on your dps and watch them wack that boss for hours. Doesn't seen too interactive if you ask me.

Thank you bro :) I'd say the best tip is to have bubble, protect and shield enabled on everyone and at least one character with berserker, haste and manamune as sword. Keep one character at distance with a bow or gun equiped so he won't be hit by every single AOE spells. If all your 3 members were to die, as soon as you swap with the other 3 you have to ressurect asap like I did at 36:30 Zodiark requires you to use reverse on all your team members as soon as you enter the boss fight because he will use his ultimate Darkja that can kill instantly everyone. Hope my tips help you :) (sry for english, i no spek english gut)

A quick question Actually what the "fleeing" do? When i was play it on ps2 it said for "run" but the run speed doesnt increase though I still curious until today

It's been a long time I haven't played the game so I'm not 100% sure anymore, but if I remember correctly, "fleeing" causes you and your teammates to stop attacking and casting spells in order to run when there are monsters nearby. It does not increase running speed in any way.

@@Thekickinyourface you're actually over leveled for espers like Zalera, Cuchulain and Adremelech. Not to mention you had already useful spells like Curaja and Arise, so it's actually not much difficult, it's quite easy. So agreeing by someone who's saying you're under leveled makes no sense, not to mention you had very decent equipment. I know this is an old comment, but let's be honest here, you said you want to make interesting but it was not.

@@noctsickversusTOBETOLD Darkja's secondary effect is instant death with a high percentage so you can't actually block it, only hope it doesn't proc. It is also recommended to take off the mask for a long portion of the fight if you plan to slug it out since he uses Darkja more often if he knows you are immune to dark.

Yeah I remember I did the easy ones early in the game to make it a little bit more interesting and harder, but Ultima and Zodiark were waayy too difficult, even max level with all items. :p

A good party can do a lot of damage to that keyholder, with the right equipment. Black masks aren't very useful againts darkaja but in base of your level you can even only use bubble belt

@@Max-lm6pj Zalera can't one shot more than one party member at a time and is generally weaker based on the level combination. The hard part is finding the damage at his stage because it's tricky if you thought you could slug it out with him. The trick is realizing that Zalera is undead and Curaga is available at Bur Omisace which is around the time you would be returning to Barheim to explore (Cura is also fine if you want to do it earlier, but Curaga is much heftier).

I love the ps2 version, not the Internation zodiac job system version that was also on ps2... Now on PC we have the Zodiac age, which in my honest opinion is so much easier than the ps2 version it's kinda sad that japan would think we couldn't handle this game and idk why but on zodiac age the game feels so slow if your not using 2x speed, I think they slowed down the gameplay compared to the ps2 version, the running animation feels more like "Hey i wanna run but the devs cut my speed in half so it looks like i'm running but in all reality i'm walking"

In the original you can buy golden axes at nebra sud lol anyway in the zodiac age you can cast like 3 spells at the same time and that's the only pro for me but I only played the ps2 version basicaly but also helped someone to find the seitengrat in the zodiac age lol. I really don't know if vaan and the rest of the gang runs slower you should check it out for real

You can change that in the settings. He's using Wait mode in this video (which means time stops during command selection, allowing you to think before acting). Active mode makes you think on your feet because time is moving while you're picking commands.
