The opening spectacle is fun to watch, but the battle at Nalbina makes zero sense. Dalmasca is a small mostly landlocked country surrounded by deserts and situated between two massive countries at war with one another. It's a strategic error for Dalmasca to commit a head on assault against the Empire. You've got Basch running around on a chocobo while the Empire's fleet of dreadnoughts hover overhead. An attack of subterfuge would make more sense, given the overwhelming odds. Get me Hiroyuki Ito's phone number, now!
