Tried it with lvl 10 Vaan after Balthier and Fran leave when you return to Rabanastre, still worked August 2023, tried it twice in a row so you can probably get 99 of them this way. Thanks @Marc CSP for this clear video of the steps. Looking at a video is always more clear then reading the steps alone.

this still works! PS4 Pro 01.20.2023 the problem with getting the 88-97-90 cure sequence is it could really take a while without fixing or resetting the RNG. to fix it, do NOT quit to the main menu. instead, quit the application. run the FF12 zodiac age again, and load the rek's save file. from there, you will get a fixed number of trial until you get the 88-97-90

it still works. i do it on my PS5 09/05/2021. its everytime the same amount of casts ~41/42 then follows 88/97/90. I do it 6 times in a row.

Still works, late game, ps4 pro, 05.05.2022. Got 2 in 15 minutes, going for 6 just because i played the game for over 600+ hours on ps2 and now ps4 and never want to see game over screen again haha. Also, the big dragon needs to die.

It should be a 1/1728 chance of occurring, (1/12) x (1/12) x (1/12) Reks healing ability has 12 possible numbers 86-97, but that’s if it’s purely random I’m not sure. I’m about to give up lol

Hi there, did you double check if you got the leisure craft to Nalbina from Rabanastre? Will only work that way. Then you need to follow the steps in order to manipulate the RNG

Confirm this method still works playing the game installed on a PS5 11/19/20 (88-97-90, took 50+ casts to get there but on 4x mode not too long and worth the ease of the rest of the game)

Equip the armlet, walk out and back on deck for the autosave, close the app, and then manipulate the RNG with Reks again and jump back into the newly corrected autosave. Only took me about 20 minutes to get 3 of these. That 20 minutes easily amounts to hours saved over the last of the endgame I have the wrap up yet

First attempt I get all the cure numbers but didn't get Seitengrat (instead 10 Gil), and I remember my Reks save has all of his squad still in it. So I get rid of the squad and re-save again to make him solo. However on my 2nd attempt curing, it's been 15 minutes but those numbers haven't appeared yet :( If I quit game, can I just start with Reks save, proceed the cure numbers and continue with the airship save? or should I redo from the airship steps?

You should be good even with reks crew there brotha, just sit there and keep trying til you hit the 3 numbers, if you havnt gotten it in 5 minutes exit outta the game and retry to reroll the rng

You need to redo all steps 4 more times. It only drops once. Although after the first trigger the subsequent ones are easier to get, at least it was with me.

Yeah unfortunately is rng but after you get it once it apparently drops like crazy. Back when I did it I managed to get 4 times the sequence within a hour.

Calam Couzens wow maybe I got lucky. Try it again with a new save file at the beginning of the game, and make sure you did correctly the previous steps. This also works for the best invisible sword at abyss level 3 in case you didn’t steal from Zodiark

If you ever try again look for the combination 97 94 95 that also works if you can't get them in like 20 heals reboot the game again to reset rng I found that combination more common

NavySealsAttack as far as I know this exploit is only available on the ps4 😔. Early this year they added the new addition from the switch version making the ps4 version the “definite edition” since is the only one that rng manipulation is enable.
