To tell you the truth, DK, I do not care if she is sexy or not when I fight those really hard bosses because I cannot concentrate on both things at the same time. I just look at her when there is no other thing that I need to look out for. Also, seriously, what is the problem with her miniskirt? If they change that, then they need to change most things in many other games because they are too much. There are even games in which the woman appears naked and no one says anything. There should not be any censoring in this game.

id love to see the option to choose izjs or the oringnal license system at the start of the game. keeping the mist charges thing and just adding the additional weapons and armour in the game to it. its fun for people wanting to experiance the full international ff12 version without worrying about the job system

I wonder if you can still enter an area with a 2 person party, freeze one player at the beginning of the area map, using them to spam the remove enemies glitch to evaporate your opponents without touching them and proceed to chain hit yourself for 0 damage in specific sequences to manipulate the RNG, determining whether or not the rare item you seek has spawned in its appropriate chest and obtain multiple Zodiac Spear's and other rare spawn items.

Super excited!! I've been complaining for years about another international FF title I couldn't get my hands on. My only complaint is that you will only be able to use half of the jobs and abilities in an entire playthrough. I want 99% of the content to be available at some point during an entire playthrough. but it'll be fine :)

Another change in the Zodiac version is that all your spells have AoE form the beginning of the game. Nice in tutorial section when you can hit multiple enemies with thunder and it makes early game easier since cure is also AoE.

Interestingly enough, FF 12 was what got me into Final Fantasy in general as it was the first game in the series I've played through entirety story-wise back in 2008. Now if only I had the money to get a PS4 though...

Great video. I love this game and this is the first video that clearly explains the difference in the IZJS. I never played this version just because I wanted to wait for the remaster. I was at a Distant Worlds Concert in Pittsburg where the announcer let it slip. I've been waiting for years for this. I was at FF15 uncovered (my profile pic is of me and Rob and Hollie from Playstation Access at that event) and I got the ultimate edition of FF15 but this game is all I can think about now. I do hope they give some form to the ultimate weapons though using an invisible weapon just seems strange.

I just finished the main story of FFXII IZJS, I absolutely loved it. The changes from the NA release are very welcome. I didn't like the fixed job system at first. I did a lot of research before picking thier jobs, but once I did I didn't really care about it being fixed....besides never getting the haste spell because I didn't make, nor want a time mage....red mage gets slow though. Red Mage only gets up to Curega, but Monk gets Cureja to supplement it if need be. My regular party through the game was Vaan, Fran and Ashe. Here's what I made: Vaan: Monk Balthier: White Mage Fran: Red Mage Basch: Archer Ashe: Samurai Panelo: Uhlan

My assumption at the moment is that having a single job for each character will make the game more manageable - one of my biggest problems with the original is that the license grid becomes somewhat difficult to cope with, seeing as you have the same one for everyone, and need to unlock tons of crap licenses just to get the ones you do need.

Oh, and speaking of the judges, if you play FFT Advance, you'll learn where they first originated. And I can honestly say I never got far in FFTA. Not because I didn't like it, but because I got so hung up on grinding and overleveling my characters and my clan's stats, and getting the early-game missables from sidequests.

Hey Darkkefka, very nice video explaining the important changes of the Zodiac version! Back then, I played the imported japanese version of FFXII (not the international) and was disappointed. I did like the graphic-quality and the atmosphere, but some of the gamedesign choices I found to be annoying: - I wasn't able to see the content of the skillboard, so that I didn't know, in which direction to develop my characters - All of my characters needed to learn and use the healing abilities... otherwise I would die - I needed my mana for healing, so that I could rarely make use of Quickenings or Espers - and extremely aggravating: those damned chests at the beach, which would prevent you from getting the best weapon in the game, if you would open them!!! Luckily, all of those things will be fixed in the Remastered version, which is why I am excited to give that game another try!

I look forward to this one. That Seitengrat will be mine. I grinded for HOURS to build up chain and get the drop of Yagyu Darkblade eventually, so exactly how hard can Seitengrat be? I wonder, is it a complete weapon that must be dropped from a certain enemy or is it like the Tournesol, farming up extremely rare loot with extremely low drop rates and buy it at the bazaar? Either way, it will just be a matter of patience. I was always a fan of ninja swords, i hope those aren't all Dark element just like in the original. It puts you at a huge disadvantage against the many undead enemies as they absorb the damage.

Do you still need a spreadsheet to keep track of the loot recipes? Have the mixes changed? A built in primer to keep track of your sold loot is the one thing I would have loved to have had in this game. Keeping track is so damn tedious.

No..ll of the bazaar items are the very same. A few minor changes in the item you get...but the recipe is the game.

Unfortunately, they nerfed the super speed in the HD remaster. It is still there, it's the difference in speed that was limited.

Have you seen the interview where they mention there will be a 4x the speed? There will also be an onscreen map instead of relying on the minimap or constantly presses SELECT (or whatever button they're make it now since sony removed the select and start buttons) to see the map all the time. Man I can't wait for this though. I got this downloaded on my shitty laptop and am playing through izjs. The 2x speed up is the only reason I can even play this game though, damn is laggy otherwise. Also, yeah I wish I had gotten a black mage man. But then I saw that if I got this other job instead (I can't remember what the last one you choose is. Ashe?) then all of them would be across from someone else's job, and it looked really nice haha. Well, maybe next time. Anyway, back to playing. Need to grind a lot aye.

There's an emulated version of ZJS which is quite easy to find, worst case theres always that. (Its a combined ZJS and original game merger thus its fully voiced, dubbed and subbed in english too.)

(Sigh, moving to a new house and lost the disc, just when I wanted to start a new game too! Thought about buying a new disc......Then met this pretty girl and all of a sudden the second disc money went into a bottle of perfume for her! By the time I wanted to start again, my first kid got punched out by her..........What the hell happened?!?!?!? It's also the same reason I want to get back to FF XI but just can't!). garrymcgee Zodiac Job system was exclusive to the original Japanese version. On the western release you could make anyone anything. I'm absolutely loving the fact they are bringing the job system over with this remaster. :)

I think of Basch as Knight, Fran as Archer, Ashe as Blackmage and Penelo as Whitemage for example. Maybe Balthier or Vaan as Monks? Another question: When a character has completed the license board of any Zodiac, will we be able to start a new license board of another Zodiac "Job"? Thanks in advance

Most of the changes sound good but I don't know how I feel about locking characters into a job. I liked that it was all free to choose, just like FF6. A bunch of blank slates.

FF6 was dead locked from the get go of the character with almost no choice in development whatsoever. FF3 and 5 had job systems where they were blank slates to be built according to a role that could be changed out of battle. (As for others with fluid builds: FF7 had materia that made characters semi-fluid, but they were pretty set in their "class". FF8, because of the way that the junction system worked, they were basically blank slates with some slight predisposition toward certain roles but no real classes. FF10 worked much like 12 where everyone started in their area of the sphere grid, but with enough grinding and particular items, they could become the best at everything. FF13 had specific roles that could be -- needed to be -- swapped mid-battle, the tradeoff being very little in the way of character build customization outside of which class to develop first, with everyone eventually able to master every class. Unique to this game, however, the characters do not share the same build tracks of the classes, skewing each to a dominant set of roles for varying situations.)

the problem with 13 is that 1. No they don't master every class because any class that isn't natural to them is just a half-assed and completely pointless version that you'll never use. 2. You can basically beat the entire game with COMs, RAVs, and MEDs. So any real choice is fucked. Even more fucked, in fact, because you literally have no choice in how they level too. Don't want to give Hope a STR increase because you'll never use him as a melee attacker? Too fucking bad, you have to waste CP to obtain it so you can continue. Fuck XIII in the ear.

Is this not the international version all over again? That version had jobs, i played it and did not use a black mage. Time mage was so effective..
