I went through so much stuff during that time period, and this game, and the music saved me, it was my only savior at the end of the day. I come back from school, go to work, and then come back and spend the last 2 hours of the day, with the game, and it makes everything better and easier for me. Despite that personal connection with the game, I really loved it, and I do not think it deserve the hate it gets. It has the best music hands down! and all the characters are amazing, and I can relate to some of them as well.

Can´t believe it´s been 11 years as of now since this has been posted. FF13 and 13-2 will forever have a special place in my heart. Warning to people coming here though - you WIll get down the rabbit hole of listening to the whole soundtrack. You might want to play them again and you WILL feel nostalgic, maybe, like me, even a bit sad. But remember - you´re here now and are able to listen to everything again. The memories were made. You might won´t be able to bring that time back, but you got your memories. And that´s something beautiful and sad at the same time 💜 Deep stuff over now. When I was in Japanese language class I believe they had a word that describes what you said. Yea, the FF13 trilogy is not even that good, but somehow I'm very fond of it, like I miss it so much even though I was playing other games more challenging and fun, but I just liked the experience, songs, places and shit. At the time it was awesome.

there is a common feeling among jrpg players which is the strange feeling of being attached to the characters in the game, for those who feel ashamed of being attached to fictional characters there is nothing wrong with that, in the end it is our imagination that is responsible for the existence of fantastic games and characters like lightning, we spend many hours living with the characters of the games we like, part of our subconscious begins to recognize them as real people and that is why we become attached to them to such an extent that it is very It's difficult to accept that the game is coming to an end and we have to move on,i really wish from the botton of my hearth that you real life became a amazing adventure like the games you love.

I played and beat Final Fantasy XIII when it released and loved the game. I moved to the Philippines soon after and have been living here since, never having known that it the 1st in a trilogy. Thanks to Game Pass I've played and beat XIII again, and downloaded XIII-2 and Lightning Returns, and I'm only halfway through XIII-2 and KNOW that I'm in for something profoundly bittersweet. This song absolutely encapsulates that feeling.

The release date: 2011, December 15. I was 20 years when I got this glorious game. The first time I heard this title song, I spent hours listening to it, crying for some reason I know not. Now, 15 years later, I come to this song once more, crying, but a happy cry. Time really went by, only for me to realize how far I came.
